Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

snake escapee problem

Hi one of my reticulated pythons has escaped it got out last night when i was with my friends i have looked everywere it seems. last night i put a bowl of hot water in the middle of the room thinking he might go in it to soak but unfortunately that didnt work. So i need some ideas on how to catch this little bugger. I was thinking get a shoe box and tie a string to it and on the other side of the string have a mouse tied to the string so once the snake is done eating it is trapped. tell me if u guys have any better ideas thier extremely appreciated.
 
Yeah just rip your snake room apart looking for it. Then when you don't find it wait about 6 months and it will show up. That has been my luck anyhow, and my wife usually finds them...

The thing is to keep looking in dark places every now and then. There are snake traps but not boxes with mice on a string or whatever. Snake traps are somewhat akin to minnow traps so once in it cannot get out.

thanks i finally found it i was so happy i started kissing it lol. i was walking into the room at night time and i had a weird feeling so i didnt turn the light on until i was in the room and their he was he almost got back in the boxspring that im guessing he was in before. my poor friends room was torn apart lol. Thanks for the advice.

Now, maybe you can address what caused the escape in the first place and fix the problem. The first rule of keeping any reptile (especially large constrictors) is providing them with a secure enclosure. In other words, completely eliminating that chance of escape. It's not that difficult, and I'm sure many of us here would be more than willing to help in any way we can :) Let us know your set-up, or what you think may have happened, so you can be assured you won't have to go through this again. :)
