Argus monitor for FREE!

I am moving and have an extremely healthy Argus monitor, (female) for free to a good home. She also comes with a custom cage, formerly a merchandising unit, like 'snapple' but, converted into a cage. The cage has double glass doors and is very heavy.

The catch is, whoever wants the monitor, has to move the cage also. total value is over $800.00. ( paid $600. for the cage, and traded to golden retics 18' and a 14' for the argus) the snakes were getting too big.

The Argus is about 3 ft. and has already laid unfertilized eggs.

Since Varanids require a permit in Massachusetts and there aren't *that* many people who have the ability to take on additional animals without reapplying for a single animal permit, the list of people you can contact in the state in order to move this animal legally to a new owner is pretty short. If you want some names and phone numbers, I can email them... If you don't, then just make sure it goes to someone out of state and I'd reccomend being quiet about it here and on other boards unless YOU have the permits required or it may not be in your posession lonf enough to be sent elsewhere.

Very true and I appreciate your reminder. Maybe you are right, maybe it is not actually an Argus. Maybe it is just a really large anole....
