In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey Everyone,
I was wondering, with all the talk of some shippers opening their gates to non-venomous reptiles of all kinds.
Which shippers have done this, and which do you guys think will be the best for legally shipping snakes, overnight, door to door.
Thanks a bunch.
Any replies are welcome.

I personally like fedex, UPS can never find my house and DHL I beleive are mentally challenged.....

Mentally challenged...
speaking of that, I was at petco yesterday.
Boy was that an experiance. I asked the lady to hold one of the boas. And she was like "I don't want to throw him off, feeding day is Wednesday." Kepp in mind that this was on a Sunday.
Then, I told her that holding them 4 days before feeding would have no effect on their feeding. She responded by saying "Hey, if you think you're an expert, good for you. But I happen to know what I'm talking about."
Remembering the last time I was there, and the balls aren't fed until Thursday. So I figured I'd ask. Here is the charming response I got.
"No man, if you want to hold the ball pythons, you're going to have to pick them up yourself." Quite amused, I asked why.
Here is the response I got...
"Because dude, they are pythons. Pythons bite, and constrict people. I don't feel like getting bit by this things."
At this point, I was literally doubled over with laughter.
Sorry, way off topic, but I had to post!

Reminds me of a scene I saw at Superpets once. Superpets is something like Petco, a huge crappy petstore.
I buy my dogfood there, and usually wander through the reptile area before leaving, unless I really want to preserve my good mood.
Once I was watching as a male customer asked to see one of the ball pythons. The snake in question was definately less than 1000 grams, a young import.
The girl working there proceeded to put on elbow length welders gloves. Not just work gloves, but the leather gloves that are one step below Kevlar.
Then she gets this 24" cage hook to remove the snake and very cautiously handed it to the customer. He and I just looked at each other with puzzled amusement as he took the snake, bare handed of course.

This scene was only surpassed by the time, in the same store, when I watched a lady using a shop vac to clean a leopard gecko cage. She got a little too close and sucked up one of the geckos. She casually turned off the vac and opened the top, retrieved the gecko and put it back in the cage with the others, complete with probable internal injuries. The lack of surprise on her part suggested that it wasn't the first time.

The truth is, it's hard to get a real herper to work with animals in deplorable conditions for minimum wage.

That is way worse than my story could ever be.
A shop-vac? I do understand you though, it would take a helluva person to get one of those stores on track.
I dont have the patience to work at one of those, and be surrounded by morons like that all day.
