    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Rah! My yearling male striped housesnake hasn't eaten since I purchased him online from a breeder (about 4-5 weeks ago!)

I also bought a female from the breeder, and she has been eating like a piggy...

What are some ways to get him eating again? (I tried braining a pinky, and the snake was not impressed.) When should I resort to force feeding? What's the least stressful way to force feed?

Most people think that to force feed a snake that you have to force it down its throat....but all you really have to do is get 2 people, one to open the mouth, and you can gently insert just the head into its throat and leave the mouse's body in the mouth and it's natural instinct should kick in....if this doesn't work leave a reply and ill give you some more pointers...

That's a no go. I just tried TWICE a minute ago (while my car alarm was blaring for about 15 minutes in my neighborhood) and he will just turn his head to the side and thrash and let the pink go. Now he's sulking in his rock cave. Any more advice, ppls?

Umm.... hold him behind his head with your whole hand like you would hold a microphone. Insert the pinky's head into it's throat and let him try to get it out, if he can't get it out, he will probably just swallow it... If he doesn't just push it down to the point where he won't try to get it out... Do not push it all the way down it's throat, that's way to stressful for a snake..... just try it and reply back and let me know what happens...:deer:
