    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Just some food for thought...

Chameleons aren't the best candidates for such a display situation. Sure, some species can be raised so that they can live and actually thrive under such a situation but this takes a great deal of lead time to prepare the animal and a great deal of thought in regards to what species should be chosen to be the final candidate for the program. One species I have worked with a great deal, although it was some years back, that I know would do great in such a programme, with some before hand preparation, would be B. fischeri multituberculatum; specifically the males and definately not the females as they are very timid as a whole (never encountered one that wasn't and I worked with a huge group of them)...

There are others that would be exceptions and which might do good but I found the multi males as a whole to be very personable and friendly towards people to the point they seem naturally tame and enclined to be held by people. They would all actually come to the door of their enclosures when they saw me and would reach out to get on me. Even had one named Gonzo that I took everywhere with me! He lived in the kitchen bay window on some pothos that were strung and hanging about with sticks connecting them... I would leave the screen door open at night and when his uv producing flourescent lights would stay on later as the season changed, he would chow on the moths and mantids that were attracted to the light. I even caught him drinking from a cup, from time to time, that I was rooting some cuttings in (he was getting plenty of water because I would put him in a ficus on the porch while the sprinkler ran). Keep in mind, he was the exception to the rule as I doubt none of the others would do these things but I do think they would make a great beginner chameleon as far as ease of care goes (breeding and hatching is a different story) and I also think the males would work great for your situation...

Sorry for the long post! I just wanted to try and give you some food for thought, chew on it or spit it out; that is up to you!

If you have any other questions or comments, don't hesitate to contact me as I would be glad to help by providing info as to what might do best for your given situation (if I had some details on the setup to be used).

Best Regards,
