In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

THANK-U
IT'S HARD GOING INTO A DEAL LIKE THIS BLIND
YOU ARE THE SECOND PERSON TO SAY ALL IS WELL
THANX AGAIN

They have a good reputation for service. The verdict is still out on the caiman. They have not been around long enough to get a good idea on potential for size. Crocodilian's dispostions change as they mature. I have heard no bad things from people that have purchased them

caiman purchase

Just out of curiousity, where in flordia did you purchase the caiman?
I am looking to buy a pair and am having no luck in finding a place that sales them.
I am in Alabama and used to live in flordia and would like find a place to find the best stock to purchase a caiman,
[email protected]
Thanks

Diamond Reptile Breeders

Professional service.I bought a female YaCare X from them(Mitch) back in Oct.2006.She arrived in very professional packaging,& top of the line health.Their prices ARE a bit steep,But you get what you pay for.Trust me,You DO NOT want a cheap sickly croc!!Botton line here,If you want great health & long life,Buy from them. While I'm being honest here,KNOW YOUR READY FOR ONE BEFORE YOU BUY!..Why??..BECAUSE THE YACARE X IS VERY AGGRESSIVE & NOT FRIENDLY @ ALL...PERIOD!..So don't believe the hype that they are!!

A note on crocodilian behavior

I know little about the animal retail establishment you refer to, except that they have repeatedly claimed over the years that their hybrid crocodilian (Spectacled Caiman (Caiman crocodilus crocodilus) x Yacare Caiman (Caiman yacare)) is 'bred to be a pet.' I have read comments by them that these specimens are docile because of their breeding.

This claim is entirely unsubstantiated.

In fact, some buyers of these have commented on the Internet how their hybrid caimans purchased from this seller have been extremely aggressive. I have requested information/study results from this retailer regarding this claim in the past - in order to be fair in my comments - and received no reply.

As a specialist in crocodilians and crocodilian behavior, I've learned that, while some crocodilians naturally have a less aggressive disposition (Compare a relatively mild American Alligator (Alligator mississippiensis) to a Smooth-fronted Caiman (Paleosuchus trigonatus) or a Cuban Crocodile (Crocodylus rhombifer)), nearly all crocodilians have proven to be generally susceptible to intense operant conditioning for captive behavioral alteration - not hybridization.

Of note, one hybrid produced in Samutprakarn, Thailand has proven to be less agressive than it's nominates, Crocodylus porosus and Crocodylus siamensis. Efforts by others to replicate hybrids with this 'personality' by crossing the same species or others, have been unsuccessful.
