In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Thinking of starting a project raising bats. I dont have much money, but maybe work a trade.

Just a word to the wise but you need to check your state laws and look into federal laws on bats. They are very intensely regulated animals. It is illegal to do anything with most native species as many are protected/endangered and bats are potential carriers of several very serious illness' that humans may contract. The exotic species from outside the USA are mostly CITES regulated, endangered species that also must comply with quarantine and screening proceedures due to potential disease transfer to humans AND even the exotic species bred in the USA with full legal documentation like the giant fruit bats, can now only be kept by universities and zoological parks by federal law. They are amazing animals but very difficult to legally keep at this time.

I live in Texas I will check the laws. Here the laws on things such as bats are pretty much shoot on site, because of rabies. I was thinking of quaretine and breed not much contact till at least 3rd generation. It would be about right though dont keep them kill them. People usally kill what they fear and then find a reason to justify there actions. The bats here may fall under the varmit law like opossums,rats,wolf,racoons,ect.

Well suprise suprise talked to Texas parks &wildlife today. They said I could kill them but could not keep them. I was told it was a hefty fine so much for my bat ideal.

Yeah, sadly that is what I thought. Up here is the same way. You can kill a deer with your car. You can shoot it and eat it. BUT if you find a deer in your backyard with an arrow in it and you feel bad because some dumb drunk shot it and then let it go and you help it, that is a crime and is punishable by a hefty fine and or prison. What a crock of [**censored**]e eh?
