I have a 2 and a half year old Black cheek lovebird for sale. I have owned her for 18 months. She was hand fed. She can be handled with a towel but isn't tame otherwise.
True to lovebird nature she is an escape artist and is aggressive to other species of birds. In her previous home she killed a budgie (her prev. owner allowed her to live with the budgie - she thought it was cute). I have always kept her cage locked with "bird-proof" locks. She learned how to undo them and severely injured 2 other birds. The locks have been replaced with mini-padlocks and I have removed her from my bird room. She did have a peachface cage mate that died of old age about a year ago - they got along wonderfully.
I am looking to place her in a home with other lovebirds OR as the only bird. I will NOT place her into a home with other species of parrots.
I am asking $150 for her, a large cage (with new locks), perches, bowls, and about $100 worth of toys.
OR
$100 for her, a smaller cage (with the above locks) and some of the toys. I no longer have the perches or bowls that came with this cage. Currently this cage is in my attic and not in use.
She is available in South East PA. I can meet the new owner part of the way if needed.
