I purchased an adult female ball from a private collector
in '02. She was bred by a 100% het Jolliff axanthic male in
the fall '02 and delivered 6.3 babies in the spring of '03.
I plan on breeding one of her sons back to her during
the '04/'05 season to see what pops out. Hopefully,
she will prove to be genetic. I have some male offspring available.
If she is genetic, then these males would be 100% het for
burgundy AND 50% het for Jolliff axanthic. Could be VERY
interesting.
They are all eating f/t rats from tongs. I can get weights
for interested parties. These should be able to breed for
you right now. Price: $400 each (males) plus shipping.
I would be willing to sell 3 of these males. Trades for
other ball pythons possible. Make me an offer.
If she proves out, this will be a very interestng project
to be working on (...a new color to cross into everything!).
To date, NONE of these babies have been sold, so you will
be the only other person with this interesting gene.
See my website for pics (don't see how to add them here with
the new format...).
Questions welcome. References available.
Thanks,
Chris Simone
