    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

It has been about 9 months since they were laid and I was seeing if they were even fertile so I cut one egg open. I found the pink baby, and thought leusistic? So I decided to cut open another egg to see if there is a color difference and the other one is green??? Is this a true leusistic or what?? Also both babies are walking around but there eyes arent open yet. PLEASE leave comments!!! THANKS ERIk

I'd try candling the eggs before I cut any more open. That would suck if you killed a true leucistic veiled. Just take a small penlight and touch it to the egg you want to candle. Make sure the room is dark. You should be able to tell if the egg has a fetus inside or is just clear (bad). Don't turn the eggs (I'm sure you already know that) like you would a chicken egg while you're candling it.

You are seeing cham eggs at their best. They all develop at different rates. The green one is just a bit further in development than the pink one. It is not leusistic, it's pigment just hasn't developed yet.

And as mentioned above, it's alot easier to candle the egss rather than cutting them open.

We have a policy here with lizards... If they can't hatch on their own, they weren't meant to survive. Pulling underdeveloped and weak animals from eggs does nothing to strengthen the gene pool.

I'm surprised no one else has mentioned it... Veiled Chams hatch with their eyes open. If they are walking around with their eyes closed, they are stressed out.

I must have missed that part in his post. If you pulled them from the eggs they will die. Not much you can do about that but I agree totally with Mark and Aimee on that point. If they cannot hatch they are not equipped for survival.

Actually both veileds are still alive but the incubator they were in shut off last night so it got a little cold, but now they have a nice temps. but I am not sure they will make it as they havent been walking around as much? I know I should have candeled them but I dont have a penlight and I didnt want to use a 60 watt as It could also hurt them. They have been in the incubator or 7-9 months (im not quite sure as they were brought to a store to incubate, I had a friend that worked there, And the guy at the store didnt write the date on the containers) and these eggs looked closest to hatching so thats why I cut these two out. The eggs were starting to dent. As for the rest of the babies they are not being cut out. and the little pink/white baby now has a whitish neck but isnt moving around like he was yesterday. Hopefully they will all live!!! But I will probabally be deleting this thread but would like for you guys to see what I wrote! THANKS ERIk

If it is leucistic then you will want to keep her and find a suitable mate. You would make alot of $$ with leucistics as I have never heard or seen one. Would be awesome. I wanna see an albino panther cham.
