Iv'e had enough of kingsnake.com!!!

That's right, I'm done. If you post there, or advertise there, I will never see it. I will not go back there now for all the tea in china. Iv'e had enough. This place is WAY better anyway. So if you want me to see what you write, don't write it there. If that dosen't matter to you, that's o.k. too. This is my last plea for all of you to drag all those guys over HERE. I'm asking you all to abandon the old forum, and come here. And to adopt this website, and this Indigo forum. We do not need two forums. There aren't enough of us for that. We only need one good one. This one. kingsnake.com is rude, disrespectful, uncareing, and profiting off of us BIG TIME! At least this place is FREE! If you do not use this forum, it will be canceled. And if it is canceled, you will never see anything from thesnakeman again. Nor will I ever see anything from you. If that's O.K. with you, then I am truly sorry. But I cannot visit a forum where posts won't open, and the powers that be call me a paranoid liar. When posts won't open for me, I can't read them anyway. And if I cannot share my thoughts, why would I want to visit there.Sorry if this is rambling on, but it's 3:30am, and I'm tired, and really ticked off!!! That's it I guess. My last ditch effort. That being said, I will tell you that I think it's childish of you to insinuate that we must not want to be your friends if we post at ks.com. Get a grip!

As for there being no need for 2 forums, I would have to disagree. The fact that there are not many of us is all the more reason to have additional forums in which we can learn and contribute.
Some people like you will not use ks.com & i'm sure there are others who will never use this website.

Yup, it does sound a bit childish. I guess at o330 it just didn't register. Sorry.

But there are a number of good folks who have come here and participated well. For all of you, I am greatful. I gave you an invitation, and you came. And you continue to come. Thank-you.

However, I extended that same invitation to everyone. And the vast majority, ignored me completely. Quite frankly, that stings just a bit. And it does make me wonder who my freinds are.

But I must say that I disagree about how many forums we can actively support. There just aren't that many Dry keepers out there willing to take part in both forums. Hence the reasoning behind my request to use only one forum.

As far as my reasons to make this forum the "one", well, they are my own. I do think this one is WAY better. And the folks at kingsnake.com did not give me a fair shake from the git go, and so I letem have it with both barrels. So here I am. And I do not see the need for two forums. If we had a lot more folks in the Dry community, I could see it. But we just don't have the numbers.

When I started this forum, I was told by the powers that be here, that if it did not recieve enough activity, it would be canceled. Straight up. Right now we only have about four people posting here on a regular basis. And those folks still support kingsnake.com's Indigo forum. If they continue to do that, the others will never leave there, and come here. And eventually this forum will die. I'd much rather see THAT forum die, and this one flourish. We just can't have our cake, and eat it too. With the numbers that we have, we all need to pick one forum and stick with it. As for me, I vote for this one. Then at least you wouldn't have to keep running back and fourth, and we could all participate, and interact together. Again, if folks keep going back there, that one will flourish, and this one will die. But if they do the opposite, the opposite will happen. So again, it's up to you. This forum is better, and it's here waiting for you all. For now at least.

I hate to tell you this but, we will never get everyone over here, and it has nothing to do with you.

I along with many others from the field collecting forum got po'd with ks.com a few years ago too and that's when fieldherpers.com sprung up. Almost everyone from that forum left ks.com for that site.
I got the admin there to set up an indigo forum and like you tried to get all the dry people to move over. NO DICE... they are creatures of habit and most said they were happy with the current forum and did not want to move elsewhere. Therefore, the new forum got little traffic but, there were a few posters that posted almost exclusively there. It's all a matter of preference. Don't take it personally...

Your probably right. And I am one of those who visited that site for a while, but it just didn't have enough activity. So like a sheep, I went back. And I know that I'm just spinning my wheels here, but it sure would be nice. Oh well, that's about all I have to say, exept I am sorry for venting like a babling idiot on that first post. I was so tired, and p****d off, that I couldn't even see straight, let alone think straight. It just burns my butt to see those guys ignoring a better forum. But I guess the thing I'm truly upset about, is the way I was treated by kingsnake.com They acted like a bunch of Nasis as far as I'm concerned. So from now on, or at least as long as it lasts, this is it for me.

Unless you're hearing rumblings from admin, I wouldn't worry about this forum going anywhere. It is slower than the Kingsnake forum, but it gets its share of exclusive posts and is far from dead.

Although I've had my own issues with KS, it does have its advantages, as does this site. It's a good thing to have multiple forums so folks can take advantage of the benefits of both.

KS is not a Nazi stronghold or morally bankrupt, they're just running things like they want... take a deep breath, go spend more time with your snakes and just enjoy the benefits of both sites.

What exactly did KS do to you to elicit this response?

Well, the first thing they did was censorship, which in my opinion, was totally uncalled for. And anyone who knows me will tell you that I am a very strong advocate for freedom! So that one fateful act, set into motion a whole chain of events, and details which ultimately lead to me telling them where to go, and them telling me good-bye. That story is long enough to write a novel. And I have spelled it all out for several other people, but I just don't want to do all that bloody typing again. I'll let them speak for themselves here {if}they have the stones for it. I will let THEM answere the question of what they did!

After it was all said and done, I still tried to visit the Indigo forum on that site, just to read, and keep up. But for some "unknown reason", I have had GREAT difficulty opening posts to read on that forum ever since I got 86ed. Sometimes posts won't open for me to read at all. So last week I e-mailed them to inquire {politely} about this problem. And once again, they managed to crank my tail. So here we are.

Like I said before, I'm done with that site. Completely, and permanently. I will not visit there. I will not read there. I will not buy anything from the want adds there. I am boycoting them,...period. It is my humble opinion, that they do not give a hoot about us. They only want us to bring our money, and spend it. And it is also my opinion that they use the "terms of service agreement" as a tool to weed out anyone who dose not fit within their perfect little picture of how the world should be. Doug was right when he said they are running it the way they want. That's fine. They can have it. It's not all that great anyway. Why would I pay to post an add over there when I can post one here or reptimart, or several others for FREE! And still get lots of replies, and still be able to accomplish what I want. I can only hope that some of you will join me, as I am aware that I am not the only person who feels this way about ksnake.com.

You are welcome to read the new version. The next day after I woke up, I got to thinking about it with the help of some of you folks, and it bothered me to no end. I am truly sorry for sounding like a babling idiot. Maybe it's cabin feaver, or winter induced depression. Maybe it's personal problems I'm currently dealing with. I don't know. But I do know that some things I said in that post were WAY off base, and I really did not mean them. Still, there is no excuse, and I can only hope you will all understand. Don't worry 'bout it. I'm a head case in the indy club too LOL. I've always gotten pissy and weird in the winter and nearly getting killed by some peice of filth high on methamphetamine didn't help my attitude I still come here too.
