Some type of reference to a tv show - you'll know the one I mean..

Ok, forgive me for being a little dorkish on this but the name of the tv show escapes me totally for some reason..

But it's about the TAPS people going around and working on paranormal cases and all. You know the one, right?

Well, I like watching it when I can catch it on. That one and the other that goes with it...

But, ok...it's where they take sightings and ghost stories and freaky things and try to debunk them as ghost stories. In one it was the lighthouse that ppl swore they saw, at times, lighting up for no reason. They were convinced it was a ghost in there lighting it to warn ships off even though the lighthouse wasn't functional anymore. But after a few tests and working on it a little bit they recreated the light and it turns out it's a reflection of the lights in town not far away...etc etc...

Anyway!

So there is one episode that I saw and loved! The team goes off to an old prison because it's 'haunted' and they take readings, and pictures and video, etc etc.

Well, they end up catching, on video, something that CLEARLY gets up and runs in the opposite direction of the camera. I mean a NICE shadow of someone/thing that moves. I was very impressed with that one and still am.

The only problem about that one particular show is that the team kept saying "Oh man! Something just ran above me!" or "I SWEAR I saw something move over there, dude..." --- IT WAS THE CATS! They didn't take that into account. They only briefly mentioned the fact that there were quite a number of cats there but never thought that maybe it was the cats moving around in the dark that they were seeing/feeling/hearing.

Anyhow...I was just wondering if anyone watches shows like that and what they think about them.

Oh yeah, and please remind me what that dang show is called!

Actually it has the obvious name of Ghosthunters.
They are have a marathon of their show tonight.(Thursday) I'm looking forward to seeing the one with the prison. It's the only episode I missed. Oh yeah that one comes on at 9 if you see this post. The other show you are talking about is Proof Positive. I actually like that one a little more because it mixes the paranormal with forensics.
I really liked the scariest places on earth when it was on Fox at Halloween. Have you seen that before? The best show was with the family that was on an asylum island near Italy. They had some weird crap happen including hearing voices in the hospital. Another talked about Athens in Ohio. I live only an hour from there.

That's the elusive title I was trying to find..

Thanks for letting me know. We just caught the tail end of the prison one. I'm still amazed at that video footage. I think I'll go look on their site to see if I can post a link to it here.

Proof Positive - I agree. It's interesting to see, definately. I'm not a 'skeptic' but more a realist. I just think that a lot of the stuff that happens has a good explanation. My favourite are all the *orbs* people keep seeing. "We went out one night and went to the spot where he supposedly died. We were just fooling around and taking pictures of ourselves....well you won't believe it but we got several shots of ORBS!"

No....you got several shots of the flash reflecting off insects, dust, and other particles in the air. Proof Positive took some of these orbs and video clips of...what was it..like pixies or something...and finally explained all the insects they were seeing in the images.

Anywho, just a good show. I did see the scariest places on earth, yeah. Not really my cup of tea, though. I never see anything that gets the hair on the back of my neck stand up. All I ever see is a handful of people telling about the time they saw the glass on the table just, all of a sudden, go flying through the air and smashing against the wall.

Oh Man...please don't let my wife find this forum!!!! As a matter of fact we going out tonight to the abandoned town of Rush,AR on the Buffalo River to take some pics and junk,see if she can see anything...I'm just kinda the driver/equipment operator/official debunker of everything she finds. .But it gives me something to do since I can't go herping.
