In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

All of us have bad days..Some of us have bad weeks, months....
Many people have specific ways of coping with stress or bad times. What do YOU do?

MMMMM Bluebell Ice cream. I haven't had that since I was 8 lol That was the last time I was in TX visiting my grandmother. :) (btw it hasn't been that long since I've seen her lol she moved to Tenn.)

Kill people online. In a game not in real life. But, I do get the talk to them while I do it. That is my stress reliever and booze(Jack his friends). :eatsmiley :uzi:

Floyd: I'm in Texas too. Nothing personal, but I hope you are not my neighbor lol......

I like stress. It keeps me edgy and working constantly...but it doesn't rule my life either...

Relaxing? Ummmm...sex, a long bath with a glass of wine, and perhaps a good novel.

When I'm stressed I go spend time with my furry critters. Somehow the life of mice and rats is so uncomplicated.

Feed Me
Don't Bug Me
Give me a Girl
Let Me Take Care of My Babies
Don't Eat Me, Eat the Babies First

Simple. Not complex.

I also read and that helps me take my mind off of me.
When work is stressing me out, I just do advance planning and make tons of worksheets and tests (I'm a teacher). The more I create for my teaching, the more in control I feel.

I also have begun to chat with some lovely people on a different website, and sometimes on this website. That helps when I need people who understand what is stressing me out.

I watch movies with hubby, that sometimes helps, but when I'm over-stressed they can't be too poignant.

Before I met hubby, when I was mad and upset at the men of the universe, I used to like to watch action films...all that shoot-em-up gore was good for my bruised female ego.

In times gone by I have also worked on teaching myself how to play the piano. Should get that out and start playing again.

I also write stories. Perhaps sometime I'll post one of my stories here. :) I have some interesting ones!

I also used to have a lot of fun using photoshop. A friend bought ten site licenses for his company, but because he didn't need all ten, he gave me one, and installed the program onto my computer. When my computer died, however, I'd lost contact with my friend, so my copy of that program died. Now I'm living without my favorite program. I used to create some AMAZING creatures on my computer. Fairies, and Unicorns, Satyrs, and Centaurs and many many other things. That was very fun. Now I just use Photo Deluxe, but it hasn't 1/100th the power of the other program.

The ultimate de-stresser is asking hubby for a hug and hearing his heartbeat and knowing I'm not alone in this big bad 'ol universe.

i crank up the volume or the stereo system.. put on whatever i feel like listening to at the time and piddle around with the reptiles... i can get lost in that for hours on end

I also think that music is great for calming stress; of course different kinds of music for different stresses: I prefer Beethoven for a really black mood, but blues for lesser, grey ones.

Smoke pot and go to a Narcotics Anonymous meeting.
or
Drink Jack Daniels and go to a Alcoholics Anonymous meeting.
:dancer01:

Seriously, for some reason handling my snakes tends to be very relaxing and I live close to the desert where I can take them outside for exercise. Being out in the wild sumerged in water relieves stress too. Playing music and singing on guitar or jamming out blues with friends. Of course, all these in combination with drinking Crown Royal and smoking pot works wonders.

Oh No Thought Iwas the only one that did that :lol01: :lol01: Really I just come to The Boi And watch some people make fools of themselves.. Other then that I go shopping and buy more BOAS :dancer01:

Either you life is fairly calm, or you must have a LOT of boas, lol.....

Why oh why do Banana Splits not make it into these polls? I mean, the ice cream is close, but it's not exactly the ticket....

Seriously, I try NOT to eat due to stress, because it would spiral out of control in a nanosecond. I'm learning to do breathing exercises or take a 5 minute walk. Amazing what fresh air can do for clearing the mind and assisting relaxation.

Oh, and I have one other secret: koosh balls.

mmmmmmmmmmmmm banana splits with choklit syrup and lots of sprinkly things on top....

The first way I try to deal with my stress and frustration is to see if I can solve the problem.
If I can't solve the problem:bandhead0 , then I have to calm myself down, take a deep breath, remember life is very short and that I am lucky in so many ways.
Next, after some cussing under my breath and an occasional shot of whiskey, I either go play video games or listen to my ipod. My ipod has been worth much more than it cost me. Usually I fall asleep after a bad day listening to it!

Hit the elliptical machine with a good book & some Tori Amos. Great way to relieve some stress...or break your neck if you're not very coordinated & get distracted easily.

And Bless You, Lucille, for knowing about Blue Bell ice cream. No one up here has ever heard of it...ah, the little things to miss, not living in the South!

KLG

Blue Bell Ice Cream: Great for to cure stress, celebrate good events, and definitely an acceptable way to bring a bit of hedonism into one's life.....
Mmmmmmmmmm.......

Well my entire "Stress Factor" comes from hoping that I am not making horrible mistakes with my children. I try to help them learn how to focus, learn that things have to be picked up and that you have to have a heart. Sometimes I stress out that I am doing it all wrong, then I talk to them and sit back and listen to them too. The one thing my parents were really good at was talking but they weren't and still are not good at listening so I try to do both.

If all of the talking and listening doesn't put me to ease, I listen to some of my favorite music

OR read a good Stephen King book, everyone is all of his books are much less worse off than Ill ever be lol
