    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Odd thing happened tonight with one of my snakes...

Tonight is feeding night for my black pines. Everything went well with the female. The male was a bit of a different story though (He is about 6 months old.).

He was blue 3 days ago, and I had considered skipping his feeding this week. This will be his first shed since I have had him. His eyes cleared up yesterday, so I decided to keep to the schedule.

When I opened the box to get him out, he was VERY grumpy. That in and of itself is not a big deal with him. His temperament has been improving dramatically, but I expected him to be mad since he is so close to a shed and was not disappointed. When I was finally able to pick him up, he "spit" what appeared to be water. I use the term spit because I am not sure how else to describe it. He did not seem to be wheezing or rattling and has been on the warm side of the enclosure for a couple days. He did eat 2 rat pinks afterward.

I am not overly concerned at this point. He might have taken a drink recently even though I did not see him moving around his water bowl.

I am more curious to see if any of you folks have had similar experiences.

Thanks for your input!

right on the mark I think

Sometimes these little guys get so bent out of shape that they will exhale so hard as to have any liquid in the eshopagus expelled. I would not worry about it as long as he contiunes eating and doing well.

So far, nothing really to report. He did shed today and seems normal. I am looking forward to this weekend. I want to see if he will start to settle back down to handling. He was progressing so well prior to his shed. I even convinced my 6 year old to hold him last week...
