almost 30 years ago we moved to big bad Boerne (sounds like, bernie)Texas (its not really all that big or bad). we purchased 20 acres.
Before we bought the land (in which we build a house) UTSA (university of texas at san antonio) was doing an archeological dig at out place... they found litterally thoughsands of indian artifacts. they believed that the area where we eventually built our house was very close to what they called an "indian dump site" apparantly where they threw broken stuff (pottery, spears ect. and animal carases they could not use.) however many complete items were found so the actual indian population was not far from this location.
Once we bought the land we requested they fill in all the holes in which they had dug and they did.
everything seemed fine.
move a few years down the road... i was sleeping one night and in my dream someone grabbed my knee , i awoke imediately once awake for a couple of minutes i could clearly feel someone holding onto my knee (i didnt move one damn muscle it scared me so bad) but i never told anyone. Later on i was watching TV in another room and i was sitting on a large ottoman leaning over so i could see the TV to watch... i feel someone put there hand smack dab in the middle of my back... of course i thought it to be one of my family... i turned around to respond, NOTHING was there.
As i had grown up i had always felt a presence upstairs... not a harmful one but like it was just something watching over us. if you were walking down stairs you could feel someone watching you or if you were standing under the balcony you would feel the same or if you were walking down the hall (which was very long) you could feel someone watching you.
weird thing is even though i personally never SAW anything i strangly knew what he looked like... it was not an indian but a white man. still to this day i can clearly see what he looks like when i think about it. i had never seen anyone like him and how he dressed until my mother bought a history book on Boerne and it showed the original german settlers... i did not see the man but i did see the same type of affluent style german imagrant clothing. still i never told anyone
One day my mom and i were driving and for some reason we were talking about if we believed in ghosts... i said i did and she asked why and so i told her... she said you know thats really weird because when you guys were just kids... i was sitting in the living room reading a book and she said you know when someone is looking over your shoulder reading and i said yeah. she said well i thought patrick (one of my brothers) was trying to sneak up on me so i was going to suprise him before he got me and i turned around to say "boo" and nothing was there but in the corner of my eye i swear i saw SOMETHING floating back into the dinning room.
well a few years back my mom passed away my father had moved out of the house and put it up for sale but my brother patrick remained living there until it was sold.
He called me up one day and said he was hearing weird noises, someone walking down the strairs and walking down the hall and doors closing and lights he had turned off were back on and that he thought it was mom. I told him pat it's not mom.. there is a ghost that lives in the house and has been there for a long time. he said he never knew (like he even paid that much attention anyways LOL) i told him about what i had experienced what mom and i had talked about. i think it eased him to know it wasnt mom.
i also remember mom telling me that after all us kids were out of the house.. that she would hear noises from upstairs walking stuff crashing to the floor, bangs and bumps... my dad once said (because it was sooo loud).. those GD cats are upstairs tearing up some shee-it and mom my said no, both the cats were there sleeping by them and he just didnt say another thing.. i dont know what he was thinking.
i have an idea i think that "it" watched over us as we grew up or maybe it did make all that noise but we were so loud you could not really hear it... but once we moved out it got bored or now that we werent there the noise that it was making was more apparant (we were loud kids radios always BLASTING, someone constantly running up or down the stairs , hallway ect.... yelling fights and even the knock down drag out fist fights) since none of kids lived in the house any longer.
thats just a bit of some of the stories there and i got some good ones of other places in our town too
thanks for listening
