In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'd have to say anyone BUT that Steve Irwin......OMG, he drives me NUTS!!!

Although, I must admit it was funny as heck when he got bit on the nose by a snake.....hehehehehe..... :dgrin:

Hmm... This is a hard choice. It's so funny when Steve gets bit, which is fairly regularly. But then again, Jeff Corwin runs and screams like a wuss.
Ahh... Decisions, decisions.

Marlin and Cousteau will always hold a special place in my heart. I grew up with them. Them and their shows were both very influential to me at a time in our world when information about critters was pretty limited.

I always watched Marlin's show every Sunday and never missed an episode of "The Cousteau Odyssey" when that was a series in the late 70's or any of the other Cousteau specials when they would come on periodically. The Amazon expidition being my favorite.

As far as the newer generation, I have to go with Corwin. The guy cracks me up and seems to have a genuine respect for what he does and the critters he covers. O'Shea is good too and I like Irwin. Just his song and dance has gotten VERY old. In his early days you could tell it was more about the critters and trying to educate than the trying to entertain the TV audience. Now however.......

I guess I agree with ya about Steve Irwin....I used to enjoy his shows, but they've just gotten to the point of being about his silly catch-phrases and his Bindy too much for me, I guess.

I too spent my childhood watching Marlin Perkins.....I think he will always be THE host. It was a family thing, we'd all watch together on Sundays, or if something else was going on, at least my Dad and I never missed an episode, lol......

I think too many of the shows today are more about just "entertainment" than actually learning about the creatures they are showing....if you understand what I mean.

Corwin IS kinda cute though. :dgrin:

Irwin is soooo irritating as to be pointless...some of the new crowd are interesting for kids to watch...but, give Jaques any day of the week !!!
Some of my fondest memories are of being transported under the water and around the world by the Calypso...

Bummed no one has stepped into that position...

greg

Despite his somewhat girly screams and dances when he gets all excited, I'd have to go with Corwin because of his involvement with the Emerald Canopy Rainforest Foundation, the UN Environmental Program and his upcoming books that document the natural history of endangered species.

But I would have to admit that Wild Boys are more entertaining to watch. lol

:slamit:

well id have to say jeff corwin cuz he is just soooo funny but steve irwin is a close second i know everyone hates him and think hes annoying but i think hes cool cuz he knows alot about animals he can get annoying but i dont really care about that i care about how much they know about animals and i have to say he knows alot about animals but jeff knows alot to

and i just have to say this

AUSTIN STEVENS SUCKS! it says hes a snake master BUT HE ISENT! i mean i saw a episode with him trying to find anacondas and he says that there the largest snake in the world and i mean any snake person knows that the retic is the largest i was soooo annoyed! but yeah thats my little rant

I prefer Jeff Corwin myself. He cracks me up. The Wildboys are even funnier, but I don't think I count them as a wildlife show.

I love steve irwin b/c I love his enthusiasm....and I think bindi is so cute...terry is great
jeff corwin would be my 2nd...humorously nutty

I know people hate the snakemaster guy but there are great visuals in there

I don't remember what it was called but I liked watching the crazy mtv guys go to african and like sting each other with scorpions (I think they went to different countries doing this)...the best was when one dressed up in a zebra suit and ran toward some lionesses lmao

I like Jeff Corwin. I laugh my butt off when he runs around screaming like a girl.

Jeff Corwin is great, he cracks me up, and he definately knows his stuff and has a great respect for animals. I saw him speak at my university too. very cool guy.

Austin Stevens...... I'm waiting for the day I hear about him getting fatally bit by something. Ugh. unprofessional doofus.

Steve Irwin is a bit out there but his enthusiasm is great. I think Jeff Corwin is the most readily accessible out of all of them and quite a funny guy.

Gotta go with me mate Steve Irwin, the croc hunter.
Getting close and personal like he does, is more to my style.
Of course, I may be a lil bias, because i met him about 5 yrs back in AZ. He is just as enthusiastic in person as he displays on the shows. One hell of a right mate IMO.

Ciao,
Rick
