Well while I was trying to figure out this server loading situation, the registered member count clicked over the 20,000 mark. Pretty amazing, if you ask me. When we hit the 5,000 mark, I thought we would about peak out then.
Of course, it appears that most of them are "drive by registrations" since we don't get anywhere near that number logged in simultaneously, much less every day. Actually, it would be pretty BAD if there were that many simultaneous users here. The server would buckle to its knees if that happened. I can't imagine what it would cost me to have server capabilities that could handle that kind of loading. And I guess I would rather not have to find that out anytime soon, either.
Anyway, just a FYI.
