Well isn't this special!

First some history:  Jurgen has been sending me emails off and on for at least a year asking me to form a partnership with him with our two sites. Anyone knowing the recent history of this site will realize why I would be very reluctant to even consider such a thing.  So I told him that I really am not interested, but will keep it in mind if I should change my mind in the future.  I've had other things on my mind, thank you.

And still the emails came.  Most I answered, others I had to let go when higher priorities pressed.

Well the latest one came in a few days ago, and with this being my busy season, I just did not have time to respond with my usual refusal.  At the same time, the ReptileTopSites server went down for a week, and this gummed up the links I had on my sites to his, so I commented out the code to keep his problem from affecting my sites.

Now today, Jurgen posted an inappropriate post in the Steve Osborne thread, that I removed by editing it to explain why I had to remove it.  Normally I just delete them, but I felt I should explain to Jurgen why I did this, since his post counter was only '2' and I felt he just didn't understand the rules.

So this afternoon I get the following email from Jurgen:

Now at the time, I didn't understand what he meant by "now I know what to do".  I had neglected to comment out the link to his site from my SerpenCo.com site and noticed that the rating number was displaying '--'.  So I went to his site and looked around, and found that he had DELETED all of my accounts from his listing.  Man, talk about being spiteful!

Hey, it's his site and he can do what he likes, but my personal opinion is that he has acted childish about this entire thing.  If any of you are approached about forming any sort of partnership, or anything whereby Jurgen Chlebowy could possibly be a limited influencing factor in your business, I would consider this decision VERY carefully.

Take it for what it is worth to you.  But I am certainly glad I did not take him up on his offer of a partnership.  I would feel very uncomfortable right now if he had any sort of administrator access to any of my sites.

Hey Rich... Just keep this site all to yourself! You are doing a great job! You do not need another James Thornton problem. I know how bad that was for you and me! I do not know how you keep up with this site and keep and breed herps. But you are a better man than me!

I agree with the others.  No one cares whether " Xreptile Site Ratings.com or whoever thinks this is number 1, number 2 billion, or non existent.  This site's reputation is it's own best advertisement.

I must throw in my two cents here also. You run a great site. As far as reptiletopsites.com goes, it is his loss not to have your site linked to his and not the other way around. Keep up the great work and thanks for a great site.

           I have to agree with other posts here on this thread.  You are doing a great job with this site and the site itself speaks volumes about your dedication.  Not trying to sound like a big rectal smoocher here, but I thinnk more and more people are coming to this site for information on breeders/dealers because they trust this site, I also think a majority of the people who already come here and read/post appreciate and see the effort you put into this site.  I would not worry too much about this guy Rich, seems to me like this is his loss and not yours.

Trust me, I am not worried about it at all, and this post was not for that reason.  I believe the way Jurgen handled this was a reflection of his personality.  He did something wrong on my site, I called him down on it, and he lashed out vindictively by deleting my accounts from his site.

Certainly I am glad I did not take him up on his offer of a partnership, and I would like other people he might approach to be aware of this situation.  He does not, and never did, have anything to offer me in a partnership, but I just did not care to burn a bridge by pointing that out to him.  I left the bridge burning to him.

Personally, I do not believe that any of my sites that were being listed on Jurgen's site will be impacted in the least by their removal.

You have joined the ranks of many in the arboreal world.  The few, the proud, the honest, the banned from the puker forum.  It takes a special person to get banned from many sites.  It would appear that you have that trait as well.  The ability to smell BS from a mile away will get you every time.

After being on this side of the forums for so long, I certainly learned a few tricks or three.

1) As the moderator will advise you all of, I said nothing to him about any post concerning me.

2) Yes, Jurgen is extremely vindictive and immature. He has been slandering me for years over a failed attempt to defraud me.

3) ANYBODY, that has a question about me, my animals or anything else is welcome to come to ME and ask about it. Here for the umpteenth time is my email [email protected]. I answer them all.

4) I am from Michigan, for 31 years now. I would love to know what these "mixed" stories about me are. How about it?

I continue to do the same reptile shows in the same cities for over a decade now. I deal with the same pet stores and breeders that I have for over a decade now. It is realy funny how somebody who thinks they know something about someone else can give everybody the wrong impression. ASK ME AND I WILL TELL YOU. There are many, many people who use this site who have purchased animals from me lately and contacted me to tell me how happy they were. In the extremely rare cases (1 out of the last 200+) that there is a problem, the money was refunded and the animal was returned. Problem solved.

Evan - to be perfectly honest, I do not recognize your name, but I believe it is my fault rather than yours.  While I can normally remember faces, names are another story entirely.  And at shows, I have a LOT of people coming up to my tables, so I hope you understand that it is really tough trying to remember everyone.

But I certainly do not have your name on my list of people whom have done me wrong, if that is what you are asking.

For the record, when I checked out Jurgen's site and his version of the BOI, I did see a couple of messages there about Evan Stahl, but I didn't bother to read them.  I did post a copy there of the original message in this thread, and as expected, Jurgen deleted it.  I would have bet big money he was going to do that.

It always amazes me how people think they can start up a copy of the BOI and yet not be able to stick out their chin and face it when someone posts something they don't like.  Deleting dissenting opinions and thoughts would make this whole idea of a BOI a complete waste of time and effort.  And it truly amazes me how this simple fact eludes these BOI wannabes.

Dear Rich and Faunamembers,

first let me say I', not into all herp stuff to start fighting. In my opinion its very important to stay together!! People that know me knows that I'm not such kind of person. I'm a guy that loves what he's doing. Fighting isnt my world, and I personaly think its always a chance to clear things before they get out of hand.

Just for the records, I respect Rich and his projects and I think what hes doing is a great plus for our wonderfull hobby. I'm not against his net projects nor I'm against his network!!

I think its always a way to clear things, so hopefully we all can solve this, too!! I'm the last that dont want to work things out.

So hopefully you'll dont judge my person to quick!! Again, I'm person that stands behind his words, thats unfortunately a rare behaviour these days, but thats the truth.

Jurgen, If this is true, then you have some explaining to do. Why did you delete all of Rich's links etc... Seems kind of heavy handed and spiteful. You will not earn anyones respect if you behave that way. That has already been proven in more than one instance.

Rich, I do not understand what you have said. How is it that I have ever done anything wrong by you? The only time that we have ever talked, met, done business is when I spent money with you at the breeders expo. We have also talked at some other shows, maybe NC I believe. I find it strange that when all I have ever done is buy from you, and you were always happy to take my money, that now you would say that I have wronged you. You have never purchased from me. You have never contacted my outside of the context of me being a customer. I emailed you several times the past couple seasons to ask if you had anything in quantity to wholesale and you simply replied that you did not at that time. Clay, you are correct. I was being defensive and misread Rich's post. Sorry all. Thanks Rich. I am too busy putting up a shield today to comprehend reading material. As I have said on many occasions to many people (even on this board I believe) Rich is one of the people to go to for corns and geckos. They are superb and always have been.
