In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well Today, I was doing my usual routine "Snake Hunting" when I reached the creek behind my granny's house. So I decided to go up to it and scan the water for frogs, when I seen something that caught my eye. I didn't think anything about it at first...just looked like a leaf with a stick sticking out from under it. Anyways, I decided to see what it was for myself, I took a stick and raked it to the surface to discover it was.....A baby alligator snapper. :)

Heres some pics I took of him:

LET HIM GO!!!!!!!!!!!! you are wrong to remove the baby from his home!

I agree...take it back where you got him and release it. The carpace doesn't look to be 4", so selling it for purposes of anything but educational is illegal.

I don't want to seem like a bad person here...really I don't, so you guys have to look at this situation I'm in....

See, he was in my granny's creek...he does NOT belong there, I don't see where he came from...But anyways, if one of my family members found him they would of killed him!! They kill them for eating the fish. =<

So, I was just trying to do the right thing, by trying to find him a new home to go to. I appologize If I offended anyone, but I think you for your concern. =D

If it's legal for you to collect and sell him then you're doing just fine trying to find him a new home by selling him.

If it's NOT legal for you to collect or sell turtles, whether limits are set by size or species, then you should just take him off your granny's property and try to find him a good safe place to live.

Good luck.

I really can't stand ignorant people. Especially people who kill turtles because they eat fish. If the turtles really had a negative effect on the fish population, then there would be no fish. Right???

Wilomn- thanks wilomn, maybe if i added from he start what the situation was, maybe people wouldn't be mad. Thanks for understanding.

DragonCharmer- Your friend did the right thing, thats what I'm trying to do here. =3

Karen- YOUR SO RIGHT!!!!! Its ignorant for them to do such a thing...=<

Yeah some other people told me that...they look almost identical to me. Ah well still a cool turtle to me. Thanks RobBeirman. =D

S'k I already told everyone why i removed it, and it was a good cause. I'm planning to realease him very soon if I dont find someone that will take him QUICK cuz winter will soon be approaching.

Brittany, I think you should get off the track of finding him/her a nice home, It had one if you cant return it to behind granny's then take it to a park that has a pond and let it go there, just a thought :)
