In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am not yet certified to ship Delta Dash yet. The situation is that my sister's boyfriend is giving me his adult 8ft BCI. I called Delta and they told me that owner would need to be certified and have his house inspected. What is that about? They had no other answers and no idea what to tell me.

EDIT: I just spoke to another person and was told if its over 16 OZ. they wont take it from an unverified shipper. Which makes things difficult.

It seems Delta varies its position depending where you are. Here, at the Norfolk airport, you can ship live animals Delta Dash without being certified. All other cargo needs certification.

I would suggest that you have the shipper contact the agent for Delta cargo at his local airport and see what's what. He may get a different answer. ALso, FWIW, Northwest and American do not require certification from what I understand. I received a reptile via Northwest not long ago. In fact, they use the same local agent as Delta does at my airport and pick up was in the exact same place.

I called the delta cargo at the local airport and the illiterate gentleman had the same answer for me. No uncertified shippers. Ill check with NW and AA. Thanks Jim!

Well Northwest wants over $200 and American wants $173. Thats a big difference from Delta it seems.

Hopefully I can find someone in NYC that is certified and willing to ship this snake for me.

USAir and Northwest will both ship snakes from non-verified shippers for around $80 give or take. Make sure when you book the flight, you get the COLD BLOODED animal rate ... The prices over $100 are most likely for warm blooded animals.

Good luck.

I didnt calll USAir. I called American. They told me it goes by weight. I guessed that it would be about 35 lbs for the box and that is where the price came from. They also said they have no direct flights from NYC to West Palm so it would have to go through Dallas. This is turning into a nightmare.

US Air is out

US Airways Cargo Policy Changes:

Perishable and Animal Shipments

Live animals will no longer be accepted for travel as checked baggage or cargo. US Airways will make an exception for ticketed reservations made before Aug. 17, 2005, to carry pets as checked baggage, which will be honored through Nov. 1, 2005. The policy change does not apply to the transportation of service animals

You might want to call the US Air cargo number and ask if the policy applies to cold blooded animals. Also, it may just be a temporary restriction because of summer heat. A lot of the policy statements the airlines make are for dogs, cats, horses, etc.

Interesting..I called US Air. Price is about $90 to ship. As of October 1 they will no longer accept any animal due to their merger with America West. So I still have time!

Thanks Adam!
