    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Two Free Green Iguanas - 1.1

NEARR is currently looking for a home or homes for two green iguanas. We are asking for a small $15 donation for each of these, but our main concern is the care of these animals. They are restricted here in Maine and require permits so we would love to find someone outside the State of Maine who would offer them a caring home. These can be delivered to Manchester, New Hampshire on October 22nd if you are interested.

If shipping is required and you are willing to pay the actual shipping costs (UPS Nextday Air) we would waive the donation fees.

Here is a picture of the smaller iguana, Iggy.

NEARR (New England Amphibian & Reptile Rescue) has had a seven foot adult Jungle Carpet Python surrendered. It was surrendered as "cranky" but we have had it here for almost 24 hours and it has been placed into the enclosure and taken out several times and I would not call it cranky. I would call it friendly. I assume the previous owners sudden movements made the snake jump, thus jumping the owner. It is not head shy nor is it enclosure shy. It would make a great pet. I will put the information on the NEARR website Sunday after I return from the reptile expo in NH. I will also post a picture as soon as I get back and get unpacked.

The snake is an awesome animal! I will be personally fostering it until it is adopted.

The 7 foot female Jungle Carpet Python was adopted out with a $75.00 donation to NEARR.

We just got in some Golden Geckos (2 males, 1 female and a juvie from their last clutch), a White-lined Gecko and a breeding pair of Emerald Swifts.
