    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Yesterday would have been John Lennon's 65th birthday had he not been senselessly murdered nearly 25 years ago. I just wanted to post this so that those of you that are Lennon fans can take a moment to reflect on his life and legacy.

John Lennon has been the only celebrity in my life that I have ever called "my idol", I respected him though he was a flawed human (aren't we all though!) and not the typical money hungry, attention starved celebrity.

The Beatles were truly the first "alternative" rock band. Before they put on the suits and got the mop top haircuts they wore leather and greasy long hair (for the early 60's).

Without the Beatles, rock n roll as we know it would be completely different today. Their influence is felt everywhere, and always will be.

Rock on, Johnny.

Thanks for sharing this. The passage of time continues to amaze me. I was twelve when the Beatles played on Ed Sullivan. The next six years of my life were spent listening to each new album over and over and over. I remember trying to smoke banana peel (it was suppose to do something!) to Rubber Soul, being amazed at Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band, and wondering where they were going with Magical Mystery Tour. We had portable reel to reel tape players at that time and recorded the White Album so we could carry it along in the car. Those were the years. Being rebellious in those days meant liking the Rolling Stones over the Beatles. Thanks for the memories. John

I hear ya Kelli..I was a tremendous Beatles fan before I started listening to country! Nice of you to note this very sad day...(sad because he is no longer with us)
You did forget one thing... "Winston" went in with Ono...(his middle name before he took on Yoko's):cool:

Actually, I believe he officially changed his middle name from "Winston" to "Ono" shortly after they married. Pretty cool!

The beatles have been my favorite band since I was old enough to have a favorite band. I am not sure a day goes by without me listening to the Beatles. It just never gets old. Rock on!!
