Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Some people stay part of a community for years and enjoy themselves and the community and remain pretty much the way they were.

Others improve, losing shyness and gaining friends. Still others get too big for their britches, feeling that with familiarity they deserve to gain control.

I am mystified much of the time by human nature but gain a lot of insight from the points of view of others who may have thought through certain behaviors. What are your thoughts on britches?
 
First you must admit that britches exist.

Then you must decide what to do with them.

Then you need to figure out why what you did was important.

Generally, I just skip the brithches entirely.

Somehow, I'm not surprised! :raspberry

I will have to go away and ponder the rest of my responce, I start to giggle every time I think of the word "britches".
 
I understand what you are getting at Lucille, that's why I feel that the reputation system should be abolished. I feel for the most part that those who have high reputations have earned them, however, this sight was terrific before that system was put into place.

I also agree with Wes, one has to admit to having them. I don't have britches, but I do have a back bone, will stand up for what I feel is right, am willing to look at all sides of an issue, and accept other point of views that differ from mine.
