    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I needed to place an order last week since I've got some new additions and had run low for my other snakes as well. I was going to use Rodentpro.com again, but they were out of stock for many of the size rats I needed - I sent an order quote request to the Mouse Factory, got no response in 4 days.... In fact I still haven't had a response and it's been a week.

So I tried American Rodent Supply - http://www.americanrodent.com/ . I ordered Friday of last week and got my order yesterday. I couldn't be home to accept the package, it was still frozen solid when I got home, plenty of dry ice to spare, well insulated, super clean looking feeders, and all-white, just like I needed!

I'm very happy that I tried them out, I just couldn't wait for RodentPro to restock (plus the additional week's process time).

And I got to boil some water and make some fog outside with the leftover dry ice. I won't grow up!
 
I just received an order from ARS the other day. Perfectly packed and high quality! Frozen solid after a 2 day UPS trip as well. Thanks Brian!
 
Ordered from ARS recently and I was more than happy with the order.
Packed very well, can actually stack them in the freezer. Very clean, no bedding, feces, or other stuff.
Will order again from ARS, as the quality and availability is there.

They obviously take pride in the packaging/presentation of their rodents. When I order rats from them, all of the tails are neatly arranged in the bags, all the rats look exactly the same, kinda weird really?? They almost look "machine made". High quality rodents are a pleasure to deal with, the bags stack very neatly in the freezer so I can inventory them when needed. Great packing and shipping.

I also got a bonus this last time, my order was insulated with maybe 20' of Reflectix, it is great stuff to use on cages and racks plus I do not have to deal with a bunch of nasty fiberglass.
 
Another great order from ARS......

Just received another quality shipment from Brian at ARS, 200 Jumbos and 50 mediums, all neatly and cleanly packed and ready for easy stacking in my freezer.
Order shipped Friday and arrived frozen solid, Sunday morning at 8:30am.
Can't ask for any better service than that.

I have been ordering from Brian @ ARS for two years now and have never been disappointed with his service or his product. He always goes out of his way and comes through for me even when I put in last minute orders!

Just going to echo what folks have said above...Perfect packing, fast service (ordered Monday morning, here Wednesday morning) and great looking feeders...Second or third time, definately won't be the last...AWESOME service :*)
 
I deal with them every month at the Indy show. Great people, great packing. Feeders look clean and fresh. Ill keep using them.
 
I will just repeat what you have all said. I have been buying rodents from Brian for over a decade and his prices and quality are tough to find anywhere else.

Brian also sells freedom breeder style snake racks that he manufactures. I have racks of the same style from two other companies that came before ARS and let me tell you, for the same or lower price Brian is making racks that have many features not offered in those other racks and much better quality. When you spend $2500-3000 on a rack it is nice to have one that works as it should and does not dissapoint you. I highly suggest that if you are looking to buy racks you look at the ones Brian has to offer.

Recently ordered a couple hundred various sized rats from Brian, and as I expected from past experiences, his service was flawless. No thawed edges or rodents, no bits and pieces, no frozen feces or urine, and all rodents are clean!

This is a fine example of how the rodent business should be handled. He's got all of my business.

I'll add my thumbs up to this thread. I started ordering from Brian at American Rodent about a year ago and every shipment has arrived frozen solid with nice sized and obviously healthy feeders. His prices are great and the use of Greyhound has saved me a ton on shipping. ARS is HIGHLY recommended!
 
Greyhound Service

How does the greyhound service work? Do they deliver or do you go to the bus station to pick up? If you have to pick up, I'd have to drive too far to get to the nearest terminal. Also hows his pricing? Last time I looked he was higher than rodent pro.
 
I used to use Rodent pro, but i got tired of the bits and pieces, and the freezer burned pinkies, and My whole '06 litter had to be tubed with metronidazole cuz of a bug they picked up from those same pinkies.

The little extra was not a problem for me. Brian just has healthier looking rats than Rodent Pro.

As for the greyhound.......Yeah, you have to pick it up. But Brian offers free shipping to half the US if you buy 100 dollars or more. Check it out. All the yellow areas are free shipping as long as you are not too remote....

I just got my first order from them this past week - the base prices (per animal) were a bit higher than RodentPro's; but, with the free shipping, the order ended up being about 20 dollars left. The only thing I didn't like is that I didn't get a ship notification or any means to track...so I didn't know when my shipment would arrive. I found the box sitting outside my door when I took the dogs out before work. Everything was still frozen solid (and luckily, my one freezer was empty enough to make the unloading fast and simple)
 
Just thought I would add a comment, now that I am well into that particular order. While I am pleased with the overall quality and packaging, I found the sizing to be rather inconsistent. One of my bags of weaned rats contained rats comparable to good sized smalls...but that didn't make up for the number of very undersized smalls I received (4 bags worth, so far).
(for the record, I was totally out of both sizes when I ordered; so, yes, I am sure that they were all from American Rodent)
 
I received a shipment of various sized mice and rats yesterday and I was very pleased.
Even after 2 day shipping everything arrived frozen.

I will be ordering from American Rodent again for sure.
 
This was a great post....and just in time!
I was looking to purchase more bulk frozen feeders...
I have often purchased from my fiend, Kelly Haller...A real good guy...
But the only problem is that he does not sell anything but mice...and pink rats.
So I have had to look elsewhere....I have tried a few different places with so-so luck.
I guess it's time I gave ARS a try.

I just received my biggest order yet in my year of dealing with American Rodent and I am very pleased as usual. My order arrived frozen solid, very clean as usual, and all the mice and rats are of good size and uniform. They are always fast and their customer service is superb. They defintitely will continue to have my business in the future.
 
I just placed an order with ARS yesterday. I'm now waiting to see how this turns out. Never bought from them before.
