    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I went to the viewing area of Gen. Mitchell International Airport (Milwaukee's main airport) and took some pics of a few planes coming in. All were taken at 1/1000 shutter priority mode at 100 ISO. I realize that this was still a little slow since there was a small amount of blurring. Also, these photos were handheld using my new 70-300 IS USM. I also plan to photoshop out the sun's reflective spots along the body of the plane, I just haven't had time. Let me know what you think! Thanks.

Nice photos. IS is a great technology. I'm only slightly suprised that no one from Homeland Security didn't notice and stop you. :hot:

Funny you should mention that. A sheriff actually did drive by and slowed down to see what I was up to. The airport has a whole viewing section (seperated by barbed wire fence) with about 20-30 parking spots so it's not completely uncommon that someone would be taking pictures there, but I'm sure he was making sure it was only a camera. I was a little worried about it as well, but it was all good. :)

They have a "viewing area" at Norfolk International Airport also. I pass right by it every time I have a Delta shipment. Each time I do, I think to myself how easy it would be for a terrorist with a shoulder mounted missile to take down a jet. Sort of a sad commentary on our world.
