• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm fairly comfortable with the genetics part of it, and followed the thread related to that (and was pretty much able to follow it). I have seen quite a few, and pictures of probably hundreds... BUT I still see some hypos/salmons (in pics and in person) that don't look it to me; or conversely, some that do that are not being sold as such. My question is, therefore, Is there an easy, foolproof way to identify this morph?. My goal is to get a few sunglows (because I want one for me :hehe: ); but I have even seen neonate and juvie "sunglows" that look like regular albinos. Are there that many people trying to prey on the uninformed, or are that many people breeding them that are uninformed. I'm sure that by starting with better quality hypos, you probably get better quality offspring and many of them will be obvious when compared side to side...but I don't want to screw anyone (or cheat myself) by misidentifying a close one.
This one is largely for my information, and for anyone else that can benefit from it, because I won't be seeing baby boas popping out around here til AT LEAST 2007.

I'll be following this thread avidly as I would like to know the answer myself. I've been half tempted to write to some of the gurus and ask them, but I hate bugging people.

My impression was that the Hypo gene produces a more defined form of Albino, but I haven't checked into that as thoroughly as I could have. Anything but feeders is out of my price range right now!

Hope you get the answers you are looking for and post them here for lazy folks like me!:)
