Who would have thought I'd end up where I am today???
I guess I'll have to start from the waaaaay beginning
I used to not give snakes the time of the day, not afraid, but also not faszinated by them. Then, I gave my son a reptile birthday party, where a couple of people brought over some cameleons, ball pythons etc. for the kids to touch and hold. I ended up with a couple of ball pythons tightly woven into my hair
That was the beginning ....
I never actually went out and bought a ball, but I played with the idea a lot, and then one day at my work, when I was taking a break in the parking lot, there was a co workers friend, who was giving away a ball python baby including cage, because his mom wouldn't let him keep it. The rest is history, but with a sad ending
I had my baby for 5 years, and when we moved last spring, he/she got out of her cage and under the house into the heating ducts .......
Well, finally about a week ago I decided to get a ball python again, but boy was I innocent!!! I NEVER realized there were so many different mutations out there and the $$$ these balls fetch!!!! Unbelievable!
So tomorrow, my first baby het piebald will be arriving! I fell in love with those morphs and I'm going to try and breed my own. Granted it will be a couple of years, and I still need to find a female het piebald, but I'm on my way!
Btw my name is Karin, I'm a stay at home mom of three
