    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have had Mr.Kitty for about five years now and I never had any problem with him not using his litter box. Then about a year ago he started peeing all over my house. He is not nutured and we now have a female in the house. She is spayed. She has started to do it now too. She pees in the bathroom though, so it is easy to clean up after her. Has anyone else had this problem?

Sometimes they do this when you don't scrub it out every so often...maybe scrub the whole thing down and see if they use it with totally fresh litter...their sense of smell is WAY better than ours. What is fine to us may smell bad to them.

Bringing another cat into a house with an un-neutered male cat is most likely the cause. He never sprayed before because he had no need to "mark his territory".....and now he does. If it hasn't been going on too long, neutering may cure him of it.

Sometimes, a cat with a urinary tract problem will start peeing around the house too. Either way, I'd have him checked out at the vet, and get him neutered while he's there.

You beat me to it, Cathy. I will second this opinion. Get him to a vet.

i agree too. also how many litterboxes are there? rule of thumb should be to have one more box than the number of cats in the house, especially if any of the cats have a medical problem(i.e. kidney problems, diabetes). how often are they cleaned out? some cats like a clean box. did you change brand of litter? my cat only likes one brand only and will pee on the bed if another brand is used. how do they get along? could try using feliaway(available in pet stores and at vets) to see if that helps with areas of repeated marking. hope that helps.
