You know the one,...the one where the forum police pull half of the posts before everyone gets a chance to read, and respond to them. Which creates a situation where otherwise intelligent individuals, with similar intrests and passions get even more stirred up, than if the moderators had left them alone in the first place. People who are already passionate about something, get extra passionate when someone removes half of what is being said. And it makes the situation worse than it was before. In an attempt to extinguish "flamewars", they have only dowsed it with gasoline.
So the door is always open over here. I know you same folks cruise over here as well. But, for whatever the reason, you'd rather take part in half a conversation over there. But I stand here with the door wide open, where you can pretty much say what you want, within reason, without near as much concern about it being pulled. Then we can all lower our stress levels a bit, get some relevant things out in the open, and get rid of some non-relevant conflicts.
What I'm saying is,...I don't care who you are IE; Doctor, Lawyer, Professor, Curator, Government official, Private breeder, lion tamer, astronaut, or whatever. It does not matter to me. What matters is that we all get on the same sheet of music, for the sake of this species. Weather we like each other, weather we like each others opinions, weather we like the way we each express those opinions,... or not. Even if you don't like me, or you disagree with me, I want you here, expressing your opinion. I think we owe it to the animals to put all that away. And get busy. Right here where we can have adult discussions about the issues concerning the conservation, study, education, breeding/husbandry, Field study, regulation, DNA data base/family tree, methods to protect wild populations, and all related topics. And if someone makes a remark that's a little off color, I couldn't care less. Really. All that really matters to me are these amazing animals. Period.
So if you feel the same way, you are in the right place. If you don't feel the same way,...you are still in the right place! Some of you have tried to contact me in other ways, but this is a very good place to discuss the issues at hand. We can all learn something here. HERE, where I think we would all have an easier time expressing ourselves, without the added pressure of knowing that any little thing you say, may annoy someone, or cause the forum polizi to erase half of the conversation.
There is a great deal of wisdom, and passion out there on the subject of Indigos and Cribos. But there is entirely too much turmoil. And part of the problem is,... that "other" bloody forum. Over here, we can talk openly about issues such as husbandry practices, the hybrid issue, inbreeding, crossbreeding, morphs, the possible albino issue, and all the other hot button issues which always send the forum police scrambling to contain, over there. Let's talk about it here. Where we can all take part, and we can all talk openly. Don't worry about offending me. I think I can take it. I know I can dish it out. All that wisdom, and passion, and positive energy is being lost, and focus is becoming blurred over there. Yes, I read over there. And I know you read over here too. And we all know who we are. I can't join you over there. But you can join me over here. The door is always open here. I don't care who you are,...if you love these animals, this is the best place to talk about it.
I could name a huge list of names. But that would just be silly. We all know who we are, and I want you all to know that your opinion matters here. And I want you all to know that you are all welcome here. I don't care who you are. Now let's talk about the following issues,...Here, I'll get you started.
