tired & cranky shadow
OK - so I was slow getting started this year. I finally managed to start cooling things down, though. A couple of nights ago, I let my exhaustion get the best of me and put my 2 male dums in the same container for a soak. they immediately started combat...and they hadn't even been in the same room with the girls, lol. I had already put 2 of the girls in together, so I paired up the other 2 and put a male in each cage. A lot of courting going on, but that is all I have witnessed in there so far.
I also took the opportunity to put one pair of yellow anacondas together. I added a good sized water basin, knowing it would end up dumped...but it was for a good cause. Sure enough, the following morning found the 'condas in puddle...all locked up.
I've also got a few groups of ATBs together, but have witnessed no action at all in there...I'm not sure if I want to rotate males around to try to stimulate some interest, or just keep my groups the way I started them. Guess it will depend on what happens over the next few weeks
