    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm sure I am missing something really simple, but I noticed that now there is a space for a persons full name underneath the avatar and number of posts. I have gone through the "edit profile" page several times and I can't for the life of my figure out how/where to enter my full name so it shows up. Any help would be appreciated. :dunce:
 
Unfortunately when a few members here left in a huff over one thing or another, they edited out their name from the full name field in their profile as well as their signature area. Those people had posts within the BOI, and this cause a problem with the rules of posting there. To prevent that from happening in the future, I had to remove the capability of anyone editing their full name field. If someone has a situation such as yours where they would like to put their name into that field, they will have to contact me so i can do that for them.

Sorry about this, but this is another prime example of a few bad eggs smelling up the joint.
 
Honestly and selfishly, I'm glad that for once it wasn't a case of me overlooking the obvious. :)

I can see the value in not being able to edit this. Hopefully people will watch what they say more carefully. I was almost worried that putting in my name was something that was now required and I had missed the memo. (Like I said, I've been known to miss the obvious). Thanks for clueing me in and for adding my name!
