In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

WTF is this?? Spot (my BP) crapped this out today, shortly after I got done with his daily treatment. Needless to say, it doesn't look right. Any clue as to what it is? I've got it bagged and ready to go to the vet tomorrow.

Currently he's being treated for mites daily, and he's also getting Amikacin shots every other day for pneumonia (three more to go). I haven't even had him 2 weeks yet! His temps are 83 ambient, 92-95 warm side...humidity is 55 - 60%.

I hope this isn't worms...yet another thing to treat for! Poor guy!

Any advise/ideas?

Without putting it under the 'scope, it's hard to say. But you're medicating him, right? The medication alone could cause excrement to look like that. I wouldn't worry too much, but having a fecal done isn't a bad idea--especially if he was already sick when you got him.

**side note** I think Shanti deserves the "bp mommy of the year" award for putting so much time, money and effort into this lucky guy. How many other keepers of a hatchling normal would have expressed as much concern over an ill one? Seriously. Good job Shanti.

I'd be glad to second that nomination!!! :hurray:

Awwww...shucks! Thanks guys. I'd do it for any of my animals! After all...it's not like they can do it themselves.

I just feel so off-balance right now, as I'm not sure exactly what normal is for a snake. That'll come with time.

Lord help me...I want another one already! BUT...I'm going to raise this guy for awhile to get a better feeling for 'em first.

I warned ya.....heh heh heh......

But there's a lot worse addictions one can have. LOL.

:hot: Aaarrrrrggggg!!!!!!!!! :uzi: :detonate:

I heard back from the vet today on the fecal for Spot. He's got pinworms AND roundworms!!! :hot:

So, I have to get his RI totally gone and get him eating again before I can treat him for those.

I really feel like flushing that pet shop! :toiletcla

(Sorry about the smileys....they make me feel better! LOL)

Aw jeez....if it ain't one thing, it's another.....poor Spot, lol. But once again, he's lucky to have a "Mom" that is taking such good care of him....and just think how good he will feel when you get him all back to good health! Sorry to hear he's got more trouble, but I'm sure he'll be fine. I don't blame ya for being ticked at the shop where you got him though...have you informed them of all the trouble you've had with him? (Are they the type of shop that would care?)

I hope Spot gets over this soon for you! One thing to look forward to; just think how fast he's going to grow once all the "cooties" are gone! I'd say he was a lucky guy to have found you. You really do deserve a blue ribbon for this.

Nope....they don't care. It's posted behind the register "NO REFUNDS, NO RETURNS....You are responcible for choosing the animal"
