In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

World record......for stupity!

Adding more bite to a world record

By NG CHENG YEE
[email protected]

Shahimi plans to kiss a venomous King Cobra for more than 15 minutes this
Saturday.
DESPITE the risk of losing his life, Shahimi Abdul Hamid is all set to kiss
a venomous King Cobra for more than 15 times in less than 10 minutes to
break a new world record.

The 33-year-old reptile expert, who will perform the feat at Times Square,
First World Hotel in Genting Highlands on Saturday at 2pm, said a wild King
Cobra that had been obtained directly from the jungle would be used for the
challenge.

Shahimi said a person could be killed with only 0.02 to 0.05gm or one drop
of snake venom and that a snake's bite could produce eight to 12 drops of
such poison.

“Current record holder for kissing venomous snakes is Gordon Cates from
Florida who has kissed 11 cobras one by one with no time limit and by using
an iron bar to protect himself from being bitten by the snakes.

“This time, I will use my two bare hands to protect myself from the snake
but the nearest hospital I could go to should anything happen to me is the
Selayang Hospital, which is about an hour's drive from Genting Highlands,”
he told a press conference at the popular resort destination on Saturday.

He said the attempt was not only to break a new world record but also to
educate and raise awareness on Asia Reptiles of which King Cobra was one of
them.

“I would also like to show others that there is a group of Malaysians who
are knowledgeable in reptiles and hope that we will one day reach
international standards,” he said.

On his preparation for the challenge, Shahimi said he jogged for at least
one to two hours everyday to build up his stamina.

“Determination and concentration are the most important elements within the
10 minutes,” he said.

Taman Ular Perlis will provide the snake, which will have no contact with
Shahimi until the day of the challenge.

Ripley's Believe It Or Not is organising the event in collaboration with
First World Plaza and the Perlis Government.

No, this guy does not quite match up to a stupid record set on Steve Harvey's Big Time show. Some guy decided he was going to break his current record by holding 9+or- rattlesnakes(by their tails) in his mouth for 10 seconds or so. While doing this he would spin in a circle to help keep the snakes from striking. He was showing off his finger he lost a year prior to a rattlesnake bite and thought he was special by being able to do this. I was so upset I was yelling at my TV at this guy in some weird hope that he would hear me. On top of that his wife was there cheering him on, he had two cronies that would give him the snakes or take them away if they were too aggressive, to do this they would shove the snakes across the floors sliding them at least 10 to 15 feet.

That was pure stupid.

WOW. people do alout of stupid thing's. but i agree with junkyard about the guy with the rattlesnakes in his mouth is much stupider than kissing a king cobra. i would rather kiss a cobra on it's hood or top of it's head way before dangling rattlers from my mouth. but i dont plan to do none of that lol. i have pushed a cobra down by it's hood, and she wasent too happy about that. and thats when i learned for myself that a cobra can not ONLY strick forward. so dont ever try to do it unless you know what your doing. well i think it is very stupid what that guy is doing with the cobra. i just hope he dosent get bit, and if he does he deserves it...

i wouldn't sound too smug there, vinny. afterall, you are the guy who was
tagged on the mouth while trying to kiss an african bush viper.

now you are messing with cobras? i think that i know someone else
who is trying to prove darwin right,

Thats nice!!!! but i never kissed a west African bush viper. I got tagged on my finger. and as of right now im not working with hots ok.

Vinny, that is the best thing I have read out of all your posts, very smart move. I hope you are doing it to give you time to learn and not get caught in a bad situation again.

If only it worked a little faster!!!! There are a lot of people that need to be taken out of the gene pool....:hehe:

Well i also think it is the best thing. I have many more years to work with hots, im still younge and i want to get a degree in biology and hopefully work at a zoo. i dont really think their is any reason to keep a hot as a pet anymore.
