In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello, all.

I just want to say that I've recently purchased a VERY BEAUTIFUL Hypo Bullsnake from Jim Keenan of the "Home Grown Herps" website (Thanks a million, Jim!). I am very much looking forward to the snake's arrival here. Oooooooh... I am very happy and excited about this to say the least!!! I've already named him. His name will be "Draco". Please click on the link which I've enclosed in this message if you would like to see what Draco looks like (Note the exceptional coloration & markings on this beauty!). He is pictured in the bottom two photos listed under "Hypo Bullsnake CB05 #STOC007 Male" for $85.00. You will need to click on the photos to enlarge them. I think Draco will grow into an exceptional adult! I will keep you guys/gals posted on his progress in the future. By the way, I've seen photos of Draco's parents and his father is a VERY STUNNING snake indeed!

Please let me know what you think of my new family member. I would LOVE to hear from you guys/gals! All replies are greatly appreciated by me.

Yep, I am very lucky to live in a country where snakes of the genus Pituophis are native... especially bullsnakes (which are my favorite species)! Some people have all the luck. Hehehe!!!

Take care,
Terry

Hello, Dieter.

LOL!!! I thought you would get a good laugh out of that.

WOW!!! You have a very impressive collection of Pituophis to say the the least! How long have you been collecting them for? Also, where do you get your Pituophis from? Are they readily available in Germany? Are there many people breeding these snakes in your country? I am surprised that you are able to obtain Pituophis over there.

By the way, what is your favorite species of Pituophis? Of course, you already know what mine is... THE BULLSNAKE!!! *smiles*

Take care,
Terry

Hi Terry,

i work with Pituophis for about 30 years and you can get a lot of Pituophis in Germany and of course in the other states of Europe (for example in france - http://www.reptilis.com/index.php?page=tarifs&lang=fr&multipage=1).

There are a lot of guys, who have Pituophis, but there are not so much with a bigger collection. In Germany are only 2 or 3 with bigger collections. The guy with the biggest Pituophis collection ist a friend. His name is Bernd Skubowius (http://www.pinesnake.de/english/stammseite.html).

I think the first, who started in Germany with Pituophis in a "professional" case, was me (i don't want be arrogant) ! My first hatchlings was from Pit. catenifer catenifer in 1986.

Well, i think all Pituophis are great snakes, but my favorite are the big three - melanoleucus, mugitus and lodingi !
