    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Galapagos Tortoise

Oh, and I have applied for CBW permit and the office said its been approved. I am just waiting to receive it. So if anyone has any info on Galaps that are outside of Florida, I would appreciate it.

Thank you

you can, but do you have room for one, also money for one, there are a few for sell on classified, for 7K for babies, about 20k or more for subadults.

dont forget it is not just an animal...this is one that will outlive you, your children, your great grandchildren etc....

If anyone has a Galapagos here in Texas, I am very interested. I do have an Aldabra that is doing very well. I have lots of land and wild grass and cactus, so they do most of the browsing and eating on their own. I supplement every couple of days with calcium and nice tortoise treats.

How big is your backyard? Also how much are you willing to pay? Ive seen a trio. on classified for 80K, and a few subadults ranging from 10K-15K i dont know if there still around,

The property is 10 acres, however I am looking more for a baby. I have big pens that are about 1000 sq. ft. I did see the adult group from Arizona on Kingsnake.

okay..i just read there are some possibly still alive on the galapagos island around the time of Darwin in 1835..now thats nuts LOL...theyre supposedly the longest living animal on the planet...maybe ill look more into a african spur thigh sulcatta...but hell...even those can probably outlive me (im 25)...LOL!....gotta give these animals the respect they deserve..thats for sure...even these aldabras seem to get extremely large..

yes they live long, tortoise in general live forever, lol, Sulcatas still get big keep that in mind, they get anywhere from 30-40 inches, roughly 2-3.5 feet, also keep in mind they live 100years or more still. also they cant stand cold, besides that they are great, im sure you will find them awsomely awsome.

Yes you can buy them, you need permits to buy one and own one and a lot of money but you can buy them, You would be buying a CB one not a wc one.
