    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am cleaning house here today. Anyone who appears to be on this site for no other reason but to find ways to be destructive here and cause as much damage as they possibly can with no positive redeeming qualities in return will simply be removed. Obviously I will catch flak no matter what I do, so I am simply going to do things here that please me and I find satisfying. And quite frankly, right now taking out the trash here just pleases me no end. I'm tired of the potshots from destructive cretins and am just not going to allow them to use MY site to throw crap my way or further erode this site. They obviously cannot take the hint to just go elsewhere, so I am going to throw them out. I think all total there may be a half dozen people or so who cause me the most grief. I am quite willing to sacrifice their continued input on this site (such that it is) for the peace of mind I will get knowing they are now gone.

If I happen to skip over anyone, sorry, I'll get to you eventually. :reddevil:

Yeah, some people are going to bitch about this as well. So go ahead. Do it in a manner whereby you are antagonizing and aggravating me and YOU will be gone too. I've just had it with the destructive personalities that infest this site and I have put up with it for far too long now. I did not build this site for YOU to use in that manner, and it stops NOW.
 
I am in 100% agreement with this. I think it is exactly what Rich needs to do. If you don't use this site for nothing other than a conflict, then move on. It should not be up to Rich, or his Mods to play guard dog for this site. If you think about this, would you put up with the few that are here under those pretences?
 
Well I may be one of those who you kick off, though it would be trivial since I only came on here for Lucilles thread and perhaps Alans. PD my fine and everything :rofl:
I will say I am not here to bash but to square some things away so don't bother throwing me out on whatever I know where the door is and will use it.

As long as you own the joint, you can hang that "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone" sign. I don't think anyone would fault you for it.

You've had a rough couple of days. You may want to consider a 72 hour banning for everyone that's gotten to you (and I realize that may well include me) before doing anything permanent. Truly, I don't feel there are many people who are simply here to cause harm to Fauna. I do think there are many here who are passionately opinionated about things that they feel are wrong. It will take a lot of wisdom to separate those intentions, and I think it's especially hard for someone who is as closely tied (personally) to this site as you are.

I know you haven't sought any advice, but what the hell, I'll offer it anyway.

You may want to contact a handful of people whose judgment you trust and ask them to make recommendations on who really needs to be out of here. I'm not talking about people that are heavily involved in this weekend's debacle, but those that you've seen a history of level headedness from.

Rich, if I've made things worse for you, that was not my intention. I simply was overcome with disdain for Lucille's behavior towards other members here. I did not mean to be the final straw that broke the camel's back, or at least utilized the last of the camel's patience :crap:

And with all that said, I'll mosey on down the road if that be your wish.
 
Terese, I asked for evidence of abuses and you provided it. Once seen, I had to act. I cannot fault anyone for pointing out something to me that I did not know about that reflects poorly on the way I am managing this site. I could not compound that error by allowing it to continue. As I have mentioned countless times, I simply do NOT read everything posted on this site.

I can easily take constructive criticism and even moderate abuse without losing my cool. But some people have no other purpose for being here then to needle me and belittle this site and my efforts. I don't need help knowing who they are, but thanks for the suggestion of a more objective review. No, this is to please ME. I've taken crap from some people for so long that they have come to the mistaken opinion that I owe it to them to take it. Wrong! :toiletcla

Yeah, right now I am just shooting from the hip and there may be some collateral damage. Maybe even later on I will regret it. But right now, that doesn't bother me in the least.

Oh, btw, yes I am using the warning system which initiates a SUSPENSION and FINE instead of a ban. It's just much easier to do while I am reading a post that provides evidence of the posters frame of mind. Yes, someone CAN just pay the $10 fine to come back, but if that last warning you got says "I just dont want you here" I would advise you to not waste your money paying the fine. I'm serious, I REALLY don't want you here. (ps, yes I know I don't have the "'" in "don't" in that warning. But the system has a glitch whereby that character botches up the warning application. Damn computer bugs......
 
Rich is that what is on mine? Sorry can't read it or do not know where it is at?? If it is I would not have bothered to pay it or spoke up. I just have not been here enough to know all the changes or even what my suspension says, I will try and find it.
 
Bout' time
It has been obvious for a while now that some folks are more interested in causing conflicts and flames than using this site to benifit themselves and enjoy the hobby more. The people that cause most of the drama here seem to be the most vocal in complaining about it (the drama).
 
Would expressing one's opinion on this justify a ban? Just asking...
