    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Thanks Mike!! I also would like to point that out. The Argentine tegus are the only ones born with green heads, this color will last up to three months. The Colombian tegus do not have a green head anytime in their life.

Needless to say, I am the happiest guy on the planet!! :)

How big are they as hatchlings, Bobby. It's hard to tell without anything for reference.

They are about 5-6 inches when they hatch. Biggins...

Darn you, Bobby!

I just told you the other day that I didn't want any Tegus and you are making it harder and harder for me to stand by my statement! Congratulations on your success!

Did you read my reply to your statement? LOL!! :)

Congrats. I love the scalation on the heads, and the color too. I can see why you are so excited.

Thanks everyone!!! I appreciate all of the great comments!! :)

he/she is just to cool . congrats !! we want to see the rest as they come out to play .

Monsters! How the heck did that one fit into such a small egg? Absolutely awesome, that just makes me want one even more. I babysat a tegu for a friend and he was so much fun, dang I miss him.

Michael, to tell you the truth. Tegus are the only reptile that I know of that the egg builds up pressure during incubation. Tegu eggs start off soft and dented, as the progress they get more firm. When the hatchling cuts the shell, fluid squirts out of the egg. That is why the egg appears small.

Michael, you need one of them!! There is nothing like them!! Thanks for the great comments!!
