    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have tried going into profiles to reset it so it doesnt shoe my name but there is no option to do so... I dont want it there !!

Well.......you're probably not the only person with your name in the entire UK, and without giving any other personal info, it really can't hurt, I wouldn't think. ;)

Ah come on!! Not much anyone can do with just your name. Just a side note, I think people on this site trust people more when they can see a name. There are so many scammers that come in with blank names, but it is your choice. If you want it removed you will have to pm Webslave to have that done. :raspberry

LOL, you'd probably be surprised.

Then again, look at MY name..there's 2 of me just in the small town I work in. I'm pretty "common" I guess.... :)
 
heck there were 15 other women with my name at the college I went to. Made it very hard for the financial aid dept to keep track of everything LOL
 
Sorry, but no, I do not remove names. It's not actually a REQUIREMENT of this site, unless you post within the BOI, but it pretty much is expected of members here. This site is not the same as all the others out there that seem geared towards anonymity.

As for common surnames, I was shocked when I did a google search on mine! I don't know ANY of those other people!
 
Actually. I'm the only person in the world to have this name for around 9 centuries.
Hence I would like it, or my account, removed.
 
Policy statement here:

No, I do not delete a member's name, nor will I delete their entire account from this site under ANY circumstances. Doing so would leave holes in any threads that they have participated in, ruining the threads entirely. In some instances, most people will request this from me after they have shot themselves in their own feet and want me to erase that sort of evidence. Not saying that is the case here at all, but in my experience, that is the case behind MOST requests of this nature.

Which is why I have had to restrict the editing and deleting capability of members. If they had the power to delete all their own posts after such issues arise, they would most certainly do so. Which I am NOT going to allow happen here. That has happened in the past, and I have no intention of allowing it in the future.
