Hi! My name is Alex, and I've been into herps for several years. I'm a succesful keeper of a green tree python, emerald tree boa, ball python, Cali king, and Pueblan milk.
I have a western hognose snake that I bought from a dealer at the Jacksonville Reptile Show a month ago. Unfortunately, the lady basically lied to me, and this snake does NOT take frozen mice. I am against live feeding, and have tried frozen about 6 times, and he shows zero interest.
Well, wanting to succeed somehow, I took the tip of trying toads, and lo and behold, he ate a live toad. Unfortunately, I refuse to keep this up (besides, I'm moving next year and toads are not as common in NY).
Here's the basic issue. I really, really want this guy (sorry, I don't know how to sex them) to have a good home, where someone will be willing to feed him toads or even try live mice. I paid $80 for him, and would be willing to let him go for $60. Frankly, having him go to a good home is more important to me than the money!!!
I hope someone will take me up. I prefer pick-up, as I don't know how to ship snakes (unless someone wants to give me pointers). I'll also let his 20g tank setup with the heat lamp, mulch, log hidebox go for another $30.
Call me at 904-553-5172 or email me at [email protected] or [email protected]. Thanks for looking! Help my poor WHS!
