In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Suffolk animal authorities have captured an alligator in Bay Shore -- the second time in as many months a sharp-toothed reptile of its kind has been caught on Long Island.

The more recent incident unfolded on Friday, when Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals agents notified state investigators that Kevin Semerian, of 1102 Carll Dr. in Bay Shore, had a 2 1/2-foot-long American alligator. It is illegal to have an alligator in New York State.

Agents also found two snakes -- a 4 1/2-foot California King and a 3 1/2-foot Red Tail Boa Constrictor -- at Semerian's home. Though it is legal to possess snakes in the state, SPCA Chief Roy Gross said Semerian's pets were not properly maintained.

They were kept in fish tanks with a blue tarp, where agents recorded a temperature of more than 110 degrees and no food or water. Gross said agents subsequently seized the snakes, which are being held in foster care pending disposition of the case.

On Monday, agents went to Semerian's home and charged him with two counts of animal cruelty, misdemeanors punishable by up to a year in jail in convicted.

Last month, Suffolk police caught a 3-foot-long alligator in Lindenhurst.
