    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

At what time has it been too long for Rosies to be born?

I swear I saw my Rosys mating as early as March 15th and she still hasn't had the babies. I read it's only supposed to take 130 days and it's bene more than that by now. Should I start worrying? She definitly looks gravid. :(

I wouldn't worry too much. I had an accidental breeding a few years back where the male & female were together only for 30min, so I know the exact date of conception. 145 days later she gave birth. People have told me that it's not uncommon for it to take even longer. I would start counting from the day you permanently removed the male from the female(that is if you let them mate more than the one time). Breeders usually keep the males & females together throughout the breeding season(April, May and June) with maybe 1 or 2 days off out of every 7.
A few things to think of:
What locality are you breeding? My CA rosies seem to take longer than my bajas to drop.
The female will keep an 88°F(+/- 1° or so) temp while gravid. If she hasn't maintained this temp range from the get-go, chances are she is not gravid.
Is she even still on her heated side of the tank, or has she begun to move off and become more active? This would signal that she is nearing the end of her long incubation, but it could still be weeks until the birth.
Post some pics when she drops!
