Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I don't understand people. I just want to say, for everybody's sake, if you get bitten by your ball python, don't call 911. It's just stupid. If you can't deal with a bite like that yourself, don't keep snakes. Calling the EMTs just brings more bad publicity.

The photo below is from the news article. It's of the EMT holding the snake. It's a terrible picture, but looks to be a ball python to me.

About 1am this morning, Garden City police were called to an apartment complex where a pet snake got a little confused. He clamped his mouth down on a woman's arm and wasn't going to let go.

That's until EMT Steven Carter arrived. It took a few minutes for him to gently pry the ball python off the woman's arm. The snake was finally returned to his box none the worse for wear.

The snake's owner says the python was shedding and becomes aggressive during those times, along with being almost blind. She says he is normally very calm and gentle around people.

The woman who was bitten may have to get a tetanus shot, but her wounds are very minor.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! If you go to WCNC.com (an nbc affiliate in Charlotte,NC) they've got a story about a guy that had an adult green burm. His new neighbors saw the snake and called animal control on him. They took it and now it's at some center in TN. People make me so pissed about this kinda stuff. They have no freakin' clue what they're even talking about. That green burm is not going to do a darn thing to those idiot neighbors. But the people in the neighborhood with the pit bulls ( I dont really know if there are any pits, I'm using it to make a point) have more dangerous animals. Then you have movies such as "snakes on a plane," and now people are freaking even more. It's all a bunch of crap!
 
Here is the link to the Burm that was taken Pet Snake Taken by Animal Control Neighbors need to learn to mind their own business!! Sure the guy made the mistake of owning a snake that is over the weight limit and he did show it off, in turn that was his doing for losing the snake.

Ah, but by saying that all pit bulls are more dangerous than all burmese pythons..........you are being just as prejudiced as they are.

It all comes down to responsible ownership of ANY pet animal.
 
I saved the pic, and blew it up, and can't tell what it is with any certainty...if it is a BP, it is a darned big one. From the appearance of the base color and some parts of the patterning, it could be an Afrock.

I never did understand the thought processes that led one to call 911 when a smallish constrictor bites them on the arm. At least I know I'm not the only one that is messing with snakes at 01:00, lol (on my nights off, anyway)
