In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

A python sits on a road after swallowing a pregnant ewe in the village of Kampung Jabor, about 200 km (124 miles) east of Kuala Lumpur, on September 5, 2006. The six-metre reptile weighing 90 kg (198.5 lbs) was too laden to move, making it easy for firemen to capture it, said a local daily newspaper. Picture taken September 5, 2006. [Reuters]

Even before the ewe, that was a huge snake!!!

Hopefully they relocated it to safe place so it can digest it's meal and move on down the road.

Knowing peoples idiotic over-the-top fear of snakes the probably killed the snake out of revenge for the ewe or fear for their life. In either case there was no reason for it. The ewe was already dead and the python I'm sure was way too lazy too attack right then.

Did they weigh this with the ewe inside? That would be about a 50 pound difference(22 kg).

I found another small article on the story today that answers a couple of the questions posed. Apparently they are trying to decide what to do with it, keep it in a zoo or release it, and the weight was at the time of capture, presumably including the ewe.

After a big lunch, it's only natural to lie down and digest it

MOST pythons make do with a rodent, a bird, or even the occasional reptile for dinner. But this greedy individual swallowed a pregnant ewe and became stranded in the middle of the road as it digested its supersized snack.

The six-metre snake was discovered in the village of Kampung Jabor, near Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Firefighters had no difficulty in capturing the python, which was unable to move. Yesterday conservationists were deciding whether to keep the snake — which weighed 90kg (200lb) when it was found — in a zoo or release it back into the wild.

Pythons are known for having eyes bigger than their bellies. There have been several reports of them bursting after attempting to consume large mammals and reptiles such as alligators, and in July surgeons were forced to operate on a 4m (12ft) Burmese python after it inadvertently swallowed a queen-size electric blanket.

Pythons suffocate their prey with their bodies before rhythmic muscular contractions pull the victims down their throats.
