Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Awesome dragon. 18" long. About 8 to 10 yrs old. Make great beginner lizard. School is taking me away from my reptiles so I have to cut down. $80 Prefer pickup.

hmm i live in maryland...so pick up isnt an option right now. would you ship at all? if so what would the cost be to 20871?

Hey Ash I hope you dont breed her, since I see that you are looking for a breeder. 8-10 years old is 4/5ths of her life, and Is oviously to old to breed so if u were going to buy her to breed, that would be a bad idea, :NoNo:
Sorry If this seems rude but i'm just trying to protect that beardie.
Brian Janes

i know, im not stupid.

lets not assume everyone on this site is an idiot, ok? not to sound like a total B, but im sick of everyone acting like an elitist when it comes to everthing, and acting like everyone else has no idea what theyre doing. i am looking for a breeder...and ive found other around 2-3 that ive been inquiring about. kinda reminds me of that one guy who thought i was getting an 8 week old to breed right away...hmm...

so lets all just take a deep breath...and assume im NOT an idiot.

TO ORANGETROOPER: No you arn't being rude. I thank you for pointing that out.

TO ASHNAZGH: Yes I can ship. But if you are looking for a breeder you will have to look somewhere else, sorry. If you want her as a pet shipping would be arround $45 to $50.

yea man glad u understand the basic breeding ages, lol im only 13, but have been around bearded dragons for two years now and know pretty much anything about them
thanks 4 understanding, and watching out 4 you lizard (thumbs up 2 you)
Good luck selling her, BRIAN JANES

no, you werent being rude. im just tired of people acting like im retarded. i never mentioned anything about breeding her because i know that isnt safe. i have a mini zoo at my house and im alwasy on the look out for new additions.

well as of tuesday i will have 3 beardies, a jacksons chameleon, snapping turtle, asian water dragon, and a house gecko.

over the years i have lost a camaroon sailfin chameleon (parasites), crested gecko (parasites), asian water dragon (parasites), emperor scorpion (i have no idea), corn snake (parasites). so as long as she doesnt have parasites, she will live untill she is too old to live any longer.

Just wondering why your animals are dying from parasites?...hmmm..... no vet checks or fecals?.....

why would you sell your dragon who some1 who doesnt take their pets 2 the vet, and they die. U dont want your lizard to die would you :shrug01:
yet again this is not me trying 2 be rude i am just curious
Brian (I donated the rest of my signature to my dragons 4 food)

well i cant be 100% sure that it was parasites, but those who i talked to said thats more than likely what it was.

the sailfin was perfectly healthy, like...he couldnt be healthier. the next morning he was nearly black laying on the bottom of his cage. couldnt hold his own weight up on a branch. tried to administer emergency aid food but he just threw it up, same with water. tried to feed him crickets...waxworms...silkworms...he would have nothing to do with them. we bought him from a privately owned store in out area which sucks (baby beardies are $100). they do NOT take proper care of any of their animals, not even the dogs they have.

corn snake never ate from the day i got him. i tried live pinkies even, he wouldnt touch it. bought from petsmart.

crested, same thing. he ate some baby food (apricots) and he threw them all back up. he was about 1.25 inches long with the tail. bought from petsmart.

oh i also had a jacksons chameleon who had vitamin A toxicity, bought from petsmart.

my first asian water dragon ate one cricket, and had pink runny poop. i did everything in his case to get him to eat something, but nothing worked. i handed him over to my boss (i worked at petsmart and he was 'reptile man'. not) and he said he tried to force feed it (oops) and it died in his care. bought from petsmart.

why did i buy them all from petsmart? i thought i could have given them a better life. apparently, i couldnt. they are all dead.

our jacksons now has weird feet...they are like extremely swollen and he can hardly grab a branch. we water him multiple times a day and his eyes are still sunk in. he wont eat anything either...his color is still bright green but he is also sleeping on the floor of his tank. bought from petsmart.

my asian water dragon now had a mad case of pneumonia twice, but i saved his life, and he is fabulous and beautiful. bought from petsmart.

i have a juvie beardie who i bought from petco and has never had problems. he is my buddy.

i also have an adult beardie who i adopted. someone said they found it in their backyard. you know...because the state of maryland mimics the australian desert. (sarcasm) he is perfectly healthy.

my little snapping turtle is from a little girl who found it in the area. i dont know if its a good idea to put it back in the wild because im not sure if they are like box turtles. once you take them out of the wild, they can never go back.

and the house gecko keeps escaping (there is a cat that sits on top of his cage and breaks the screen in) so he is living in the house. happily, i suppose.

as far as vets go, i dont know any GOOD reptile vets. i talked to people about ones ive herd of and they all say dont go to them, they will kill your animal. so...

sometimes when a sickness comes out in an animal it is too late to save them. i can only hope it was the case with my guys and that i gave them the best chance of survival. i miss the sailfin the most...he loved people. he would run around his tank and turn himself brown untill someone picked him up. then he would be happy. :(.

mr. orangetrooper, i must say you are getting on my nerves. im not suprised at all that youre 13...

and why would you ASSUME that i dont take them to a vet? did you know that i can take my animals to banfield (petsmart vet) any day of the week for free? no...you didnt. they arent the best but its better than nothing. so shut up already..jesus christ.

If you HAD taken any of these animals to a vet, you would KNOW if it was parasites or not. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to do a fecal on an animal, and the vet never has to touch the animal, and treatment for parasites is simple and cheap.

And you say that often when a sickness "comes out" in an animal, it is too late to save them??? MOST ilnesses can be cured if PROPERLY treated at the first signs of sickness......how else would we treat illnesses?? Do we treat them with medicines before they get sick? Do we guess at what they "might" become sick with?

And your animals are STILL getting sick....a water dragon that has had pneumonia twice? Ever think there might be a REASON he's getting pneumonia? Your Jackson's is having health issues, and you're out here looking to spend more money to ship another animal to you, when you could be using that money to treat sick animals you already have??

If you aren't willing to find a reptile vet that you will USE, and pay to have them properly treated, you should not own reptiles. Sure, maybe you can use Banfield, but it appears you haven't. Orangetrooper is rightfully concerned for the well being of your current animals, and that of those you may be still looking to collect. Even at his age, he appears to be more mature in his care of animals than you.

Goose, I apologize for taking this so off topic....best of luck finding a new home for your girl. :)

I agree with Cathy on this one. And you are planning to start a breeding project as well? Do you have any idea what it costs to raise just one clutch of babies to age 6 weeks? Not to mention, the adults must be healthy before breeding or they pass it on to the babies. Take care of what you have now, consider breeding later when you have a little more experience in caring for your reptiles.

i did say over the years, did i not? wonder how many years that could be....1...12....im thinking along the lines of 10 or so.

whatever. youre all goram morons. i dont need to explain to you that when i was 13 i couldnt take my animals to the vet. most of the animals i bought were already sick. if i suck so much at having animals, why are the ones i currently have alive and well? you all need to shut up and go somewhere else.

i wasnt aware this was reptile myspace. STOP acting like you know everything there is about reptiles, and stop acting like i am a RETARD. ive had reptiles my whole life and i think i know a little. im getting an 8 week old female, so i have a few YEARS to get myself together. so you can shut up too mr/ms 'do you know how much it costs to raise a clutch of eggs'.

oh, and you know what? sometimes vets around here wont deal with your animal unless they have certain vaccinations and the like. i dont know anyone who gives reptiles vaccinations. not to mention, there is one car here for 4 people, and if i need it, im usually out of luck. the vet from banfield was in once a week (friday) and between the day my animal got sick and the day the vet was there, they usually died. also sometimes i cant afford to even take myself to the doctor, so how am i supposed to take all of my reptiles to the doctor? you people need to stay out of MY life and worry about yours. get off the forum and do something productive, stop bitching at people.

this post was originally between GOOSE AND I about him selling his beardie to ME. if you want her, then you can have her, you all OBVIOUSLY are superior to me. but its up to goose.

isnt there anyone on this forum who has something nice to say to me? jesus christ-o. no matter what i say on here i get flamed, even if i need help.

oh, and more mature in the care for his animals? his parents pay for everything. hes only 13. if you wanna send me money to take my animals to the vet FEEL FREE.

I can see points from both sides. And I hate being the middleman. Ashnazgh, I know where you're comming from when finding a vet, not having enough money, or they arn't in office in the time of need. That hapened to my juv beardie. Just one day he didn't move and the vet wasn't there. I have been there, BUT they are out there. I called so many numbers to find a vet I could go to, I probably went through the whole vet directory. Plus I searched the internet. THEY ARE OUT THERE!! The best one I could find I have to drive for an hour. And others are even farther.Any closer and their knowledge is limited. I don't meen to sound rude, bitchy, mean, or make you think that I am calling you a retard. I would just like her to go to a good home where she will get lots of attention and live out the rest of her life happily, I have not been able to give that to her lately because of school and other matters.
