Greenwich mockingbird
A snake of mine just had a fecal float come back positive for hookworm.
This is my first time dealing with this vet. He seems on the level and knows what he is doing, but I would like to hear from people "in the know" what I should expect as adequate treatment.
The snake is a juvenile (just over 2' long) female California Kingsnake.
She is feeding properly and keeping down meals.
I also would like recommendations on proper cleaning of her enclosure to avoid her from contracting the parasite again. It is a glass tank enclosure.
Of course, all my other snakes will now have fecal floats done, even though they do not seem to have the weight gain problem she does.
