    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

A couple of days ago, I couldn't get into Fauna at all in the morning...I can access the site for the most part now (obviously), but every so often, I get a white page that gives me the following message:

There seems to have been a slight problem with the FaunaClassifieds database.
Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.

An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

It happens about oh, every 4th or 5th time I click on something here. Sometimes refresh works, sometimes I have to back up and try again and then can see the page, sometimes I can't get to that particular page at all, at least at that time. Is this something that is happening to anyone else? Or is it just ME again? :eek:
 
Yep, I've been having the same issues. I also received this message:

Along with:

Yeah, I've gotten that one as well, I believe that is usually only when I am trying to actually post something.

I'm glad to know it's not just me this time. ;)
 
Things just looked odd in the admin stats about how the server was utilizing resources. It acted like it was running out of memory even though the stats were saying only 51 percent of RAM was in use. The MySQL errors indicated that the server was running out of memory when executing a MySQL statement.

So I just rebooted the server.

Please let me know if you continue to get those error messages.
