    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Any opinions as to what is wrong with here?

I have been posting this on several sites but have yet to get any responses from anyone who has seen it before. Just received this atb on Friday. As you can see in the pics, the left eye is slightly swollen and discolored. My first thought was that it was a result of a retained eye cap but that is only a guess. A vet trip may be in order but won't happen until at least Tuesday due to my work schedule. It is eating and behaving fine. Last shed on 10-25-06. Animal is two months old. Any thoughts?

Bart it could be a number of things, infection, tumor ETC ETC so really hard to say . It is a real nice looking animal though, hope it isn't anything serious,, keep us posted..Randy

You received it like that? Did you contact the person you bought it from? More importantly (in my mind), did you see pics prior to purchase that showed that eye? As Randy stated, there are a number of possible causes, including a congenital deformity. Unless the seller is claiming that it is an injury that occured in transit, the animal should not have been shipped.

The seller was contacted as soon as it was received. He stated that he did not notice the eye problem when it shipped but offered me an immediate refund which I declined.

If the seller is to be believed (and I am not saying he shouldn't be), this is a new development, then. It could be related to some insult to the eye during the shipping process, or the manifestation of some pre-existing infection. You could watch him for a brief period to see what happens, but a trip to the vet is probably in order.
