    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I did my best, I guess it wasent good enough.

hey all. Im sure most of you have read my post about the burm that i rescued who was in really bad shape. Well I took care of him when i bought him and finally got him to take a pinky mouse. He started acting a little better and feeling a little better. At about 9 however, i walk in the room to check on him and he was dead! I did everything i could but i either did something wrong or i waited to long to buy him. At least I learned from this though i guess. Thanx for everyones advice on how to help him.

First off, a pinky mouse is WAY too small for a Burm of any size. Secondly, I'd be letting the person you bought it from know that it died from subpar care and would definitely be expecting some sort of retribution.

So sorry to hear about your loss. At least you know you did all you could and that in the end, he was warm and cared for. Too little too late is not your fault and I would definately try to recoup some of the $$ you paid for him if possible. That just sucks and I am sorry :( .

Kyle, I'm very sorry you lost him......I know you tried everything you could to make him better. Sadly, I don't see any kind of refund coming from the previous owners, though you very much do deserve one in the eyes of most here, I'm sure. I don't see them giving a darn, plain and simple.....

But at least you can take small comfort in knowing that his last time here was as humane and kind as you could make it.

Lets not jump to that conclusion, they were horrible caretakeers, but I don't think that is due to them hating the creature, just a general ignorance of it. I think whether or not you get some money back will depend on how they would treat any fellow man, so its worth a try. I'm sorry for your loss and I wish you luck in getting a bit of cash back.

From my experience, someone that woud sell an animal (for $400) that was on deaths door because they didn't feed it wouldn't be any too eager to refund his money.....but it's always worth a shot. Maybe they'll surprise me.

Sorry to hear of your loss, the others are right though- at least you tried and gave the animal some care much deserved love and care in the end.
As for a refund, it is at least worth a shot.
