    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

golden tegus: columbian or argentine

i was wandering if a golden tegu was columbian or argentine? please let me know
 
thanks fo the info,but what the heck is evryones problem with columbians. i own a columbian and its the best reptile ive ever owned. it has never showed any aggression,lets me handle him, and is easy to take careof, i like em just fine. u cant believe everything u hear.
 
I've kept 2 colombians and 3 argentines - I've gotten bit and whipped by the colombians - never had any problems with the argentines - some colombians are calm, but they are very far and few to come across :shrug01:

You seem to be looking for, not finding mind you but looking quite hard, for validation of your particular fondness for columbian tegus.

You've started a number of threads in which a number of people who have collectively had and handled THOUSANDS of gold tegus, tell you quite plainly that the golds are the worst of the tegus for attitude.

You are either quite thick in the cranium or bored.

It's really cool that you've got nice golds. I've seen one or two myself. I've also seen quite a few who would just as soon snack on a finger as be touched by one.

You also knew that the golds were not from argentina as you and I and some others covered this in another thread.

Black and whites are great, reds are really cool, blues are neat and golds generally suck.

There ya go, short and sweet.

As long as they are Argentine Black n Whites. There are also Colombian black n whites as well, but they are nothing close to the Argentines. I have never seen a dog tame Colombian tegu, I have heard of them, but I have never seen one. I guess it is like bigfoot, lol. I have had many Colombians through the years, but not one was anything like the Argentine tegus as for getting tame.

BTW, chickenman, Why are you posting this in the Classifieds? This has nothing to do with this forum.
 
I had a black columbian who made our Nile look even more like a sweethheart. He's about 2-2 1/2 and has never bitten! My tegu was the worst lizard Ive ever had... gorgeous guy though... my little Columbo!
