    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Budget frog care sheet?

When I bought my Budgett's frog, I asked the seller if there was anything special I should know about their care...I will share his wisdom:
Keep it in water and feed it.

It was a pretty simple plan, and it has worked for about 2 years so far, lol. To add a few specifics - I keep him in what is usually a constant temp room, and his enclosure is usually around 82 degrees. I tend to be inconsistent with many feeding schedules, especially the frogs - I will feed at intervals ranging anywhere from 3 days to 5 weeks, depending on a variety of factors (my schedule, type of prey last offered, season, etc). I do dechlorinate the water for all my frogs.
Watch out for the chompers.

Yea, I figured as much, I just wanted to make sure what kind of temperature he needed. No one seems to have them. I heard of them awhile ago in a book about strange animals and I thought he was really interesting. And when the pet store had them I had to get one. (I went for a pacman frog but the one they had was gone.)

Thank you,
-Sarah

i love this species. mine is in a 10 gallon tank. they are fully aquatic but u should still offer land because it will come out sometimes. they also need a hide. and a fake plant. dont make the water deep, only about 4 inches. they eat fish and nightcrawlers. feed him as much as he will eat. in nov fill up a bucket with a foot of eco earth give him a big meal then when it comes out put him in the bucket till jan he will bury himself in a mucus cacoon. dont touch or feed him till jan. this is what they do in the wild durin the dry season. they r from argentina, bolivia, and paraguay.they may bite so never put ur finger near there mouth. i hold mine once a month. thats about it:)
